I mean, over-the-top, amazingly so. I was nervous through that whole episode, waiting for that weaselly skinner to show up. Half-wondering now if they're going to carry him over into next season? Seems like there's a lot of unanswered questions going on, can't possibly see them wrapping it up in an hour. $5 says that scene with Dex on the table is a dream. Looked like he was in a suit or tux, so probably imagining his wedding day or something.

I have a feeling that if Dexter's wedding is going to be the season finale, some real Corleone Godfather baptism violent shit is going down. I have a strange feeling the skinner isn't going to be the only villian in play here. I don't think they ever answered why Miguel's brother had anything to do with Freebo in the first place.

He's Adam from season four of Buffy. Quinn's injury had to look brutal, I thought he'd lost an eye or something, because that's the only way Deb wouldn't have chased down the skinner - which we all know she could do. I'm a sap - my favourite scene last night by far was when Dex was genuinely trying to cheer Deb up with no running narrative about how he had to fake emotions - and when he asked her to be his best man it was so sweet. Then when he said Miguel's not even a good man it was an interesting shade for Dex (MCH rules all). This kill was not just about cleaning up his mess, for Dex it really was about justice this time. Really interested in what I think is a season 4 plot with Deb digging into Harry's relationship with his CI. That leads to Dexter's mom, which leads to Dex which lead to Brian and a tanker crate full of blood. Deb is going to freak out. It doesn't lead to Bay Harbor Butcher though so she won't have to arrest/shoot/cry on Dex. Skinner+Ramon+covering up Miguel's demise and oh yeah, the wedding. Should be a jam packed finale.

I didn't see anything that was similar from one scene to the next, and it looked more like a residence (bookcase, framed certificates, and it looked like it was on ground level). It would actually make a lot of sense for it to have been the hotel room, but I don't think it was. I'm pretty sure it was Helen Wolf's office. Can someone remind me how Dex found out about his dad and the CI?

I wondered that too since the name of the episode was I Had A Dream (or something). I'm not sure why else it would be called that. Question. Does season 4 start next fall? Do I really have to wait that long?

Dexter got access to archive files via family friend, Camilla, who died of cancer (actually, Dexter honored her wish and poisoned her). I think Camilla also told Dexter the entire backstory about the relationship with the father and Dex's mother, but Dexter listened to interview tapes. It would be funny if Dex and Deb were half siblings.
