I watched the 1st two seasons on tv, but when I started to watch them on DVD, I had no memory of her at all (I remembered Lindsey unfortunately, who I hated it). I can see why people wouldn't like Angel S4. It was definitely dark, but that's my favorite season of any show, ever. I liked the non-stop action and worry, and Evil Cordelia was awesome. Things kind of slowed down with Jasmine's first two episodes a little bit, even though she herself was a great character. I think she's my favorite all of time. I dunno...I guess I just got excited because I remembered Gina Torres from that show Cleopatra 2525. Hell, I still remember theme song (loser). I like Lilah, but only upon repeated viewings. I did love that she was ressurected to bring Team Angel to Wolfram & Hart. Season 4 was dark, but awesome. Angelus! Willow! Faith! Wes brought back into the fold! Loved when Angelus returned and he cackled from his cage at them to close out the episode. Angel knew how to end episodes, I'll give them that.

They are two kindred souls searching for redemption and never feeling like it is enough.

Two people completely screwed up from childhood and who could never really recover from the mistakes that they made - all they could do is learn to accept it and grow up a little more. Wes busting Faith out of prison after all of the damage they did to each other was awesome.

Nice to see Dracula back and Xander being his pal was hilarious. Can't wait for the next part. Oh and Andrew's latest seminar was outstanding. And the cover for next months: I literally burst out laughing I can't believe they went there. #14 cover Spoiler [+] Dawn, who's been a giant since Issue #1 (long story) and the current storyline takes place in Tokyo. Yep Giant Dawn is stomping around Tokyo like Godzilla.

And I just saw "The Body." Dear Lord in Heaven...I cried and cried and cried... (And I honestly think Spike might just be my favorite "Buffy" character...then Anya...then Willow...The first because of how changed, the last two because their lines make me laugh.)

I mean, I knew her, and then she's, there's just a body, and I don't understand why she just can't get back in it and not be dead anymore! It's stupid! It's mortal and stupid! And, and Xander's crying and not talking, and, and I was having fruit punch, and I thought, well Joyce will never have any more fruit punch, ever, and she'll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever, and no one will explain to me why. I still weep when I watch it.

That was like...one of the best moments of Anya's existence (and the show) ever. A lot of time, Buffy's whining and crying and emotional monologues annoyed the crap outta me...but something about Anya's one emotional breakdown was awesome.

Posts: 511 (04/06/08 2:03 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I wish I could go back in time and read all the interviews and stuff about each season...Just so I could get a grasp of why Joss did certain things...because as I watch the series as a whole...You start to see how he plans things so in advance...to set up for next season. It truly is incredible what a tale he tells. I'm on to the last episode of Season 5...I think I'm gonna run out after some food and get Season 6 and dive right in...I don't even think I saw one full episode of 6...but I did watch the finale...so...it's kinda liek I know what happens...but STILL!!!! (same with the last season...lol)

I barely remembered anything of season seven. The final two episodes were pretty good and I was really glad they got some of the comedy back for them. Anya was one of my favourite characters and I'm still sad she had to go at the end!

Then again the whole franchise BLOWS. Maybe he'll make Peter FUNNY like he's supposed to be. I found a nice little Easter Egg on the S7 set. The final disc has the "previously on Buffy" sequence from the finale hidden on the special features disc (click 'left' when the "Last Sundown" featurette is highlighted (the Buffy 'B' will show up)).
