It's just that none of them strike me as int'l high fashion model material and you can tell that at first sight for the most part... I'm not sure how whoever the winner may be will be received in NY when she meets with agencies (after winning). A few of them could probably do really well in Australia like Gemma S. though, but I said that last season and look at the lot of 'em now. I think "intellectually" tptb realize this, otherwise they kind of struck out in terms of casting this season. Wuming Shi wrote: I think Louise should have won Me too! I really think they can too, but unfortunately most of them lack the drive or ambition, and they're too lazy to handle the long slog that's needed for a successful modelling career to happen. I would even venture to say that it's because these mainly 16-17 year olds still have this mentality of being stuck at home or at the mall - basically not working that hard.

But Demelza -is- technically plus-sized and I think it weighs her down by default. No pun intended. As for Samantha, she's so underwhelming in person, she looks like a corpse.

Twenty-year-old Alex Girdwood, who has twice had collagen injections in her lips, earned the wrath of judges and photographers on the Foxtel reality series in an episode that airs tonight. Modelling agent Priscilla Leighton-Clarke, with whom the winner of the series receives a one-year contract, weighed into the debate yesterday, warning young models not to resort to plastic surgery in an attempt to further their careers in the cut-throat modelling industry. "My line on cosmetic surgery when it comes to young, beautiful girls is leave it well alone," Leighton-Clarke told Confidential. "Particularly in this situation, when the girl is naturally attractive and is chosen for her natural beauty, it's just not necessary. I would never encourage any of my models to have plastic surgery and none of them do - except for one who is in her 30s." Professional photographer Juli Balla, who appears in the episode, was shocked someone so young and beautiful felt the pressure to resort to plastic surgery at such a young age. "It's a tragedy what she has done," Balla said. "Obviously Alex is not confident in who she is, which is not a good sign at the start of your modelling career." The latest controversy comes after a group of other contestants received widespread criticism for bullying. Contestant Alamela Rowan broke down on air after she was harassed by a gang of contestants led by Wollongong teenager Demelza Reveley. Anyone have a line of where they can be downloaded? Back to the show... First of all, fuck Napolean in his fat woman-hating face. He basically has said that if he doesn't like a model she won't represent him - Giving him complete veto power over the whole proceedings. Second - I must be getting very jaded, but I didn't find the torture of Alameda that horrible. Her tactic of letting them pour the water on her was questionable. She seemed to enjoy the victim role. It didn't seem as bad as, say, SHAVING OFF SOMEBODY'S EYEBROW WHEN THEY'RE PASSED OUT DRUNK! Third, I don't know if it is the inclusion of underage girls, but apparently we will never have a season like this: Lastly, I applaud Jordan for going into acting - She has a really, really great and interesting look, but not for modeling.

I thought she was great this week and that she delivered a great photo. Although Leiden definitely deserved to go, it would have been hilarious for them to eliminate both Rebecca and Alyce instead, seeing as how they are friends and all. I don't know, though. For some reason, I like Rebecca and don't mind her staying (although the client didn't like her picture, it was one of my favorites. In fact, her overall portfolio is probably one of my favorites). However, Alyce needs to go, STAT! I can't stand her. The way she speaks and acts is just so incredibly fake that I am annoyed whenever she comes on screen. Plus, she's not even pretty and is short. I'm definitely warming up to Caris. I liked her before this week, but didn't really care for her as a model. Now, I think she is definitely Top 4 material (although I am not sure much past that). I think Rebecca and Alyce are goners. Alyce has been in the bottom for two weeks in a row and Rebecca has also been getting consistent criticism from the clients and judges. If this comes true, I think we would have a pretty solid Top 4. Despite Caris and Demelza needing to work on their bodies and Samantha serving up lackluster photographs, the Top 4 would be very good. Overall, it would be better than last season's, which really only had Alice (although, I don't know, Alice still might be great enough to make Cycle 3's Top 4 better ).

Commercial enough, I would say. Hah. Bitch has clearly put on weight and it shows. Again, her facial features are a bit too harsh. The best photo of the week! Caris <3 Eh, she looks like a kiddie at a sleepover party. I actually think this was one of the stronger pictures this week. Again, there's the whole problem of looking too 'mature' though. It's not too bad. But I've never been a big fan of Leiden's look. Too posed, I don't like it. It's a pretty good shot but I wonder why she's the only person to go topless.

I also think that Napoleon has too much influence in the competition. He really shouldn't have more of a say on who wins the any of the other sponsors. I'm sure Kirstie doesn't want to give 6 pages in Vogue to some mallrat nor does Priscilla want to get stuck representing some unsellable monster. Spoiler [+] During a post-show photoshoot, off the record, Kristy said that you could tell who the F2 were from the Napoleon beauty shoot in episode 2. Along with who we know participated in fashion week, that points to Demelza and Alex imo. AusNTM of course kind of lucks out because both are doing pretty well, but replace Napoleon with CG and Dem/Alex with, oh say, Saleisha/Chantal. Then it becomes more clear how unreasonable it is (unless Napoleon is paying as many bills as CG is). Also, after he declared that Kristy would not be the face of his brand, it was pretty much a done deal that they wouldn't let her go on in the competition. (Her pic sucked anyway, though.) Even if he wasn't on the panel that week, I could have seen this happening the minute he had a look at the girls. I have no idea if CG actually picked them (which I doubt), just using them as an example. Also, if Alice is still reportedly being used for the next three or so campaigns, who knows in what capacity the winner will be used. Even more reason to ease up on the Napoleon influence.
