Powell (according to Soap Opera Digest) was granted freedom after the rape. Only he continued to rape people and had mental issues to boot. Was sent away to a sanitorium (a term only heard in soaps) after getting caught trying to rape someone. Classic soap stuff.

I'm not sure when he was last in Llanview. I don't even know when/what year Marty was raped. Powell probably didn't remain in Llanview too long after Todd, he, and the other guy were convicted of raping Marty. So he technically is someone who used to be on the show, probably in a very small capacity, and has not been on in a long time. Ahhh, Ghost Hunters uses sanitorium? That show using the term makes sense. It sounds cool to say "Let's go into the abandoned sanitorium and go look for ghosts." On soaps though, it sounds a bit dated and not near as cool though, don't you think? "He was sent to the sanitorium after he tried to rape me." When they were discussing Powell not being able to leave the sanitorium, I started thinking "ding, ding, ding, ding! We have our killer."

After Starr realizes that Todd did not cause the death of her baby, she has seconds thoughts about how she feels about him. Starr also has second thoughts about giving up her baby for adoption to Marcie. Jessica has to face reality. Fish moves in with Cristian and Layla. Destiny and Matthew spend some time together. Stacy pays Stan off and then has him punch her in the face as part of her ploy to gain Rex's sympathy, which it does. After Stacy is warned by Kyle that Schuyler and Gigi are on to her and headed her way, she manages to get Rex into a compromising position just as they arrive. Gigi and Stacy have it out.
