Thanks for the answers. I caught the whole Dr. killing herself story, but I missed that he was her son. I'm really not looking forward to him being
involved with Starr. Mainly because she looks 14 and he looks like an adult. Ew.

Soap actor Phil Carey dies at age 83 in NYCNEW YORK - Phil Carey, best known for his role as business tycoon Asa Buchanan in the ABC soap opera "One Life to Live," has died. He was 83. Carey died at his New York City home Friday following a battle with lung cancer, according to ABC network officials. "His presence will always be a part of 'One Life to Live,'" said Frank Valentini, the show's executive producer. "The best way to describe Phil was bigger than life. Like Asa, he possessed an undeniable quality that drew you to him." Born Eugene Joseph Carey on July 15, 1925, in Hackensack, N.J., Cary began his film career with a part in "Operation Pacific," starring John Wayne. This led to contracts with Warner Bros. and Columbia Pictures and starring roles with some of Hollywood's legendary actors, including Gary Cooper in "Springfield Rifle," Henry Fonda in "Mister Roberts," Peter Fonda in "Fighting Mad" and Tyrone Power in "The Long Gray Line." He also starred with Fred MacMurray and Kim Novak in "Pushover." Carey's prime-time television credits include starring roles in "Philip Marlowe," "Laredo" and "The Untamed World." Guest-star appearances include "Gunsmoke," "All in the Family," "Little House on the Prairie," and "Police Woman." Additionally he toured in such stage plays as Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" and "Cyrano de Bergerac." Carey originated the role of Asa Buchanan in 1980 and played the billionaire tycoon until the character died in his sleep in August 2007. But Carey was brought back in video wills and was last seen on the show on Dec. 29. He is survived by his wife, Colleen, and their two children, Shannon and Sean, as well his three children - Lisa, Linda and Jeff - from a previous marriage. The death comes a few weeks after the passing away of another former "One Life to Live" cast member, Clint Ritchie, who originated the role of Clint Buchanan. |

i haven't watched oltl in a while just reading the updates but it REALLY sucks
there are so many different directions...better directions they could have gone with marty's character all of these random people popping in and out vanessa, sarah, tina (why tease us by bringing her back for so short a period), and one at the high school.... |

Anyone still watching?
Looks like we are gearing up for another serial killer storyline - with John being at the center. So glad we've not seen this one before. (MusicBox Killer anyone...?) |

Yeah, I mentioned the serial killer thing in my last post, and I REALLY hope they aren't going to make it be Marty gone crazy. Look at who's ben
knifed: The doctor, the guy in Maty's bed, in a commercial it looks like
gets knifed....It doesn't seen very random.

Yeah, I've seen those previews.....I must say, at the moment OLTL is my least fav soap. I'm kinda bored with most stories. *yawn* And yet I continue
to watch....odd.

I've changed my mind, now I think it's going to be Tea going crazy. Watch it be someone random that we've only ever seen in the background in two scenes. |

I hate the Starr and her teacher storyline so much, it makes me want to punt my tv. She's not even cute, for fucks sake!

Yeah, she has a horse face and is a whiny bint. But then again, there isn't much pretty on OLTL.
The upcoming storylines seen on the commercials look silly. The Rex kid gets leukemia, but is only saved by the bone marrow match from his five headed whore auntie.. Oh, and crippled Matthew, mad bald Nora and po' druggie Cole is lame as well. Anger grunting John and his idle threats and bad beard is old as well.

Fridays show was EPIC! I'm so going to DVR this show again. I stopped DVR'ing all soaps this year because they mostly suck.
Shane has leukemia. Matthew is paralyzed from the waist down. Both these kids are pretty good actors. Of course Matthew has been on forever and learned from the best. I was like, "What the fuck OLTL? Two kids having terrible trauma in just one week?" but it's working! Bo and Nora are so awesome and Gigi/Rex are really stepping up with their acting. I only hope they don't kill off Shane. I'm also enjoying Marcie/Star and the baby story along with Nat/Jared figuring out about baby Hope switch. All and all it was a great episode! Roxy was even enjoyable if a bit over the top. The only negative is another stupid serial killer story. I like John and Blair, but I don't really care to see another story like this. Oh and Stacy can go away. Is she really necessary? |

I totally agree Dharmy...friday episodes like the USED to be !
Yeah, that fug Stacy is necessary because we hate her already, so she's doing a good job. Though the drugging/scheming to screw Rex is silly and her upcoming "deal" with Gigi is hideous as well. ( can't the "good" people ever agree to whatever it takes then tell them to fuck off?? I love me some A Martinez..was a fav of mine from the old western tv/movie days. You KNOW they're setting him up as Dorian's new love interest. Will Dorian slip into her dreadful "Latina" accent when ordering empanadas during Lunch with Ray? Ay CAR-LOW-TA!!1! Matthew IS good. Cool that him and Starr are sibs..talented family, though I liked her better when she was the precocious Starr to Todd's spoiler her rotten father. |

I can't wait to see the fallout from the baby switch storyline. It will be interesting if after all of this, Starr decides to keep the baby and not give
it to Marcie.
Jess needs to get some Brody lovin' . I hope they make it as a couple (though, I liked Tess/Jess and Nash). John needs to let Marty go. He belongs with Blair. |
