For a long time this was my FAVORITE show, like ever, and I own all the tapes (yes VHS tapes) and season 1 DVD, but.... I haven't actually gone back and re-watched it in years, so I forget a lot of things. It still knocks the socks off Desperate Housewives and a lot of the other so-called dark comedies that have been on air since. I'm gonna have to go back and remind myself of everything before I can post more.
Why am I not suprised to see the usual suspects were fans?

most groundbreaking television series ever.
i only have each episode on its original vhs recording, season 1 dvd, and laura palmer's diary. i did go visit seattle and went to snoqualmie too, and even had a piece of cherry pie and a damn fine cup of coffee at the double r (twede's). eta: on that same trip i went to roslyn and had lunch at roslyn's cafe. it was a great trip. for those of you who want to do it, the outlook over the falls and lodge are identical to the opening. but once inside, the lodge is nothing like the great northern, and there is nothing there that would make you suspect that it was, at one time, the great northern. twede's seems to be appropriately proud of the connection though. twin peaks paved the road for picket fences, northern exposure, x-files, lost, and any other show that dares to make us think. |

lol @ the usual suspects :)
One of my big "To Do"s in life is go to Snoqualmie and visit all the spots. Hell that may jsut be my enxt big vacation (which will be a ways away since I did just spend a month in Europe). "Dale, I could kiss your pointy little head!" |

I didn't get to visit. I guess the photos will have to do. Dammit.
I remember thinking Sheryl Lee was the most beautiful dead chick I'd ever seen in my life. I tried the wrapped in plastic thing for Halloween and it didn't work.. couldn't find plastic thick enough to hide my parts. Kinda morbid anyway. Quote: You suck, too. I want it! "Bob" was the scariest mofo I've ever seen on tv. I have a question. Does anyone remember the scene with Donna and James singing along to a song in one of the episodes? Or was it Maddie and James? It's been so long. I have S1 on VHS and DVD but I haven't watched them. Anyway, if you know the song, let me know. |

Actually it was James, Maddy AND Donna. The song was "Just You". I have it as a realplayer clip. If you'd like it send me a message to my inbox.

Poor Sheryl Lee got so shafted by Desperate Housewives. They promised her another role on the series which they so far have not fulfilled.
ETA: Speaking of 'Just You And I' - check out this little gem from www.dugpa.com : Quote: |

this show rocked. i rememeber watching the first two seasons in, like, 24 hours. it was addictive.
speaking of the brilliance that is lynch; i spent my weekend having a lynchathon: blue velvet on friday, eraserhead on saturday and mulholland drive on sunday. it was a blast, i can watch those three movies until the dvd wears out, lol. since im still in the mode, im just curious what everyones favorite lynch film is - im guessing on a thread like this fire walk with me will probably score pretty favorably. |

Another huge Twin Peaks fan checking in. I faithfully watched the show.
Sure it went downhill fast after so much promise. One thing caught my eye: Quote: SI, that erases any doubt you are indeed the OT TV queen. |

Quote: I've forgotten so much of it. It was my favorite show. I actually had my husband watching it too! It's nice to see everyone discussing it, because bits and pieces come back and I just go "yeah!".... Thank you! |

I loved it too! And I too have stopped in North Bend for a meal at the diner.
The actual interiors of the Great Northern weren't shot at Snoqualmie Falls, but at a lodge on Vashon Island. I've forgotten the name, but it is a small lodge. Laura Palmer's house is, I believe, in Everett, Washington. I wonder if the annual gathering is still held - wasn't it sometime in April? I know it continued for some years after the show ended, and I always meant to go up and check it out but never did. |

Fave Lynch film: FWWM (one of my all-time faves actually). Followed by Wild At Heart & BV.
I thought I heard the last annual fan gathering was a few years ago but i could be wrong. I'd love to go to one. |

Quote: Yeah most of the photos I have are the buildings used for exterior shots only. If I'm not mistaken, the Roadhouse is another example. The interior of the building was never used. FWWM is definitely my favorite Lynch movie. BV was an extremely fucked up movie. I own Mulholland Drive but haven't watched it yet. Coconut - I sent you a PM. |

Wasn't she Mary Alice in the original pilot of DH (the one that didn't air)?
Weirdness, another dead chick. |

Re: TP | ||

We all seem to have the show or access to it... and none of us have watched it in ages... we should do an episode of the week club. Everyone gets a few days to watch the episode and we can all discuss it all these years on.
Of course stopping the tape after each episode will be a problem!

Top five TV show of all time. Only thing I have is a copy of Rolling Stone with LFB, MA and SF (the hot chicks) on the cover.
