Mom knows how to handle Kathy. There was one episode where she told Kathy how many kids she had and that she had Kathy beat on that one. It's all part of
Kathy's comedy and they love each other so much. If you poke fun at each other that just means endearment. If you refuse to talk to each other for years
then there is a problem. I've seen too many people who have no contact with their parents at all to confirm this. I love to see the banter that goes on
between them. If you have no fun then what is it all about? Bottom line....Don't take life so seriously.

Those interviewers were interviewing MOM, though -- not daughter. They should have told Kathy to STFU so they could conduct their interview...

Don't you dumb fucks think that Kathy let her mom be interviewed? I'm sure that Kathy wasn't there the WHOLE interview. God, please kill these
shitslices.

I watched the show, and I didn't really see too much of an issue here. Her mother is beloved, and it looks like they have a great relationship. Kathy gives
her mom shit all the time, that's their relationship. I truly believe that Kathy adores her mother and would do anything she wanted or needed.
I loved when mom said "I'm a tv star now". |

I don't know, I thought last week's episode was hilarious, especially the parts w/ her mother. It's not like Maggie doesn't give it right back

Yeah, I didn't have any problem with her making fun of her mom, and I am almost positive that Kathy preps her mom beforehand: "OK, these reporters are going to come over to interview you and I am going to give you shit, left and right...about your drinking, about how you abuse me, etc. Don't worry, it'll be funny...it's for the show. Kthxmom!" I'm sure a lot of what happens on D-List is semi-scripted...like The Hills. ETA: I just remembered...remember that Patrick bear that visits her mom. He told our mutual friend that Kathy called ahead and said "We're coming over with the cameras....act surprised, and play along..." |

I'm pretty sure there'd be major issues if the whole 'razzing mom' stuff wasn't completely in jest - Maggie does have other kids, ya know.
If they had any concern over Maggie's well-being in LA, they'd ship her butt back to Oak Park in a heartbeat.

I watched more and I especially love the part where Mom hides her tissues in her pockets. I recently lost my mom and that is one thing that my mother did also.
She'd hide tissues in every pocket she could find for any event. I just learned that like with any child who hides toys or whatnot that they put in their
pockets, you have to watch out for Mom and Dad also as they get on in years. It's all about the pockets and what we put in them for sure. I still do it.
Every time that I wash the clothes, I check everyones pockets including my own. I love Kathy and I love Maggie! Keep stashing those tissues! They do come in
handy if you cry or sneeze for sure!

Kathy was asked to do Dancing with the Stars and she said no.

So sad.
It would have been the best season ever - I would have voted for her non-stop no matter how she danced. It would have been awesome too if her mom was there in the audience every week! I hope she reconsiders. |

ETA: I just remembered...remember that Patrick bear that visits her mom. He told our mutual friend that Kathy called ahead and said "We're coming over with the cameras....act surprised, and play along..." It's kind of obvious she's told to act surprised and preped before Kathy shows up because there's a camera already in her home before Kathy walks in. It's not like Maggie has cameras following her 24 hours a day. So, yeah, Kathy's "surprise" mom visits obviously aren't surprises but whatever. I still love love love this show! |

duh @ scripted visits to mom - they're always sitting in the perfect couch positions and know exactly what to say to move the story along.

Suze was a fucking bitch. "I own 5 houses and they are all paid for". Well, yeah you make a shitload of money you ugly bitch. If I could buy and pay cash for 5 houses I might consider it too. |

I love Suze, but someone should tell her that anything more than 1 (maybe 2) houses for yourself is spending money on wasteful things.
