feeling some morning after blues realizing there's no new show next week....
I am grateful that the series got a proper ending instead of just disappearing as some do! Full episodes of this season can be viewed on the ABC site, ta, but repeats just don't seem to happen much anymore. January is like the second season in TV now. Maybe in the summer, but eventually on ION for sure. They are just finishing season 2 and starting season 3 this week, although they are throwing in a Christmas episode from season 1. They usually show about 3-5 episodes a week. Some are repeated on a different night, so you just have to watch the schedule. I still have the DVD set though. Too good not to see in its right form! So....shall our new title be "Gone fishin'" ? It still applies, lol! |

I gave up on this show during the season they backburnered the main characters in favour of 3 new young characters...it was horrendous - really wish I'd
picked it back up the last couple of years (although I have seen a few episodes and was turned off by the overwhelming political plot lines).....I liked the
'Hands' guy.

Funny my hubby hated the Chinese on the balcony also - thought it was blasphemy lol I understood but in the same token felt it kind of fit and was not surprised Despite my meh over Katie and Jerry when I was glad they handled it originally that she wasn't into him - I was okay with that ending. All I know is that Denny and Alan make the best married couple on television |

I know it's an end, but I don't want to remember that visual, lol. Shows you how iconic and "sacred space" we feel about it. I know there was some discussion last night about the justices. I'm not sure how many Season 5 eppys I've missed. I bought seasons 1-4 two weeks ago and finished watching them yesterday afternoon. I'll keep my eye out for season 5 to come out on DVD. I love Alan Shore so much. I actually find James Spader hot now. :D |

I downloaded torrents of Practice season 8 episodes. It's amazing how much darker Alan's character was back then.
I recommend any BL fans try to check out those episodes if you can. |

Ooo Yes!
I can still see the scene of him taking names off the doors! Not written as a lovable rouge at all then. The depth and evolution of characters is what makes for long-lasting worth, IMO. The Practice had some wonderfully conflicted episodes too. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Just goes to show you though what an elusive thing "chemistry" is. It was a good show, but the BL cast (main members) was a perfect fit. They could play off each other and always seem natural. That just doesn't happen often in ensemble work. Ahhhh...I have to let it go! |

The success of BL just indicates how iconic and ingrained the James T Kirk character has become in American culture. Denny Crane is nothing more than a
send-up of Kirk, and people have been lapping it up for years.
