EntertainMe Weakly said this was one of the four most likely to be cancelled shows of the year. That shocked me. I hope everyone gives it a shot tonight. I thought it was very well done. If you'll notice, every person who has watched the pilot so far has liked it alright.

Last year all of the shows I thought were interesting and new...are now gone. Maybe I just have bad taste...what time is this tonight? 8? So it will not be effecting Lost viewing in a few weeks.

Especially the mayor's corny speech near the end of the episode and the "tracheotomy with a juice box straw" scene. The swelling orchestral music playing non-stop throughout the episode didn't help. Sometimes less is more. But aside from that, the subject matter is too bleak to draw in viewers on a weekly basis. This isn't exactly light and frothy viewing.

None of the characters annoyed me although the playing of the dead mom in Atlanta message over and over did. I'll tune in next week for sure. Was one of the little girls the same one that was in Invasion?

They didn't really keep the suspense going with what the explosion was. We knew it was nuclear but didn't know it was intentional. The Atlanta bit gave that away a bit soon-possibly out of fear that it was go nowhere unless they say what it was. It's a series version of The Day After from 1983.
