Did anyone else see Bryan Batt (Salvatore) on Martha Stewart? He was delightful. He brought Martha toile tray from his store in New Orleans with a toile that
he designed...and they made Manhattans and Rob Roys. He didn't drop any spoilers, but spoke a bit about the costuming on the show. He says they wear
vintage clothes quite a bit.
I had no idea he was from New Orleans, or that he had a great shop on Magazine Street. All connected here. |

I'm sure Martha will have the Bryan Batt segment up on her video section soon. I looked...wasn't up this afternoon...but probably soon. Or YouTube.
He was dressed in a Brooks Brothers jacket....Martha asked him....and with the haircut, he looks very "Salvatore" on Martha. He and his partner own the shop in New Orleans....he was funny and tried to joke with Martha. He reminds me of one of my oldest friends who lives in NYC. ETA: No, he's no macho jerk |

that was about if Bryan was anything like Salvatore on the Martha show. Bryan is not some macho alter image of Salvatore. Very similar feeling. |

I love that he asked Weiner to be married. Smart move, and it adds such a great dimension to his character & the show as a whole.
And let's face it, on the show, apart from that pesky no sex problem, Sal's the perfect husband. |

Very odd episode. Don's impulsive Palm Springs trip and his observations of that group of utterly useless human beings was uncomfortable - brilliant, but
uncomfortable. It was amazing how these pathetic wretches were the cause of him going far back into his own past for a scary breath of true honesty.
Poor Sal, trying to pass. I've never met a guy who critiques aprons. The Playboy was just a cover. And Peggy... she sure can pick 'em. At least this one had the right idea about her hair... |
