For those that missed the early episodes, there are torrents for them (as well as on-demand availability from what I hear)

Watching episodes 1 + 2, from some torrent I got.....
Is it just me, or is the stocky guy with the funny face (don't know his name), is dropping "I'm as queer as a pink fuzzy monkey" hints all over the place. |

If you are referring to the Art Director Salvatore, then yes. He is played by Brian Batt a FLAMING Gay actor (he played the dumb chorus boy in Jeffrey).

and i haven't seen this week's ep yet, which is why i have been so quiet (i know, applause from y'all). i was up late last night. i was making a reply to a bb8 post in ezboard, i clicked the submit button and when the screen refreshed i was on yuku.it was an amazing experience. ok, well... maybe not... oh, and my long, and brilliant post there disappeared too... |

I haven't seen this week's ep either, yet, so no spoilers here.
The poor man's version of my lost-forever post yesterday was that I think Sofa's theories about Don's secret past are very clever (I'm leaning toward the changed war identity, and the being Jewish). If this week's episode reveals something totally different, then pretend I didn't just say that. Don (the don) has the loner/cowboy/noir hero role down pat. Loved x 1000 the kids at the party running around the newly-assembled playhouse mimicking their parents ("I like sleeping on the couch!", etc.). Fucking hilarious. Oh yeah. Don "Whitman." The name the guy on the train thought he had. Taking a big leap here, purely on a figurative level, I associated that with Don having secret aspirations of being a great writer (like most ad men then & now, right?). His true talent/self being repressed, as he is trapped in his suburban prison. Also wondered if the shot of him at the train track in his car toward the end was both an echo of the first scene on the train, and an intimation of suicidal thinking. THAT'S IT. Looking forward to watching this most recent episode! |

"I think Sofa's theories about Don's secret past are very clever"
not exactly my theories. i didn't get that vibe from the first ep, somewhat saw it in the second when even his own wife didn't know him. but the train thing from ep three hit me smack across the head. because it shook him. if only it wasn't 100+ fucking degrees here each day and me dying out there working in it. do me a favor my mad men peeps. switch out your light bulbs or buy a prius or something. get the earth back down to a normal temperature so i can work AND watch tv at night instead of collapsing into sleep... |

Yeah....that's him, he's got a weird face...the camera loves him (in above piccie). He could be hot (he looks hot above), but it looks like he's gaining weight which doesn't suit him at all. |

Loved x 1000 the kids at the party running around the newly-assembled playhouse mimicking their parents ("I like sleeping on the couch!", etc.). Fucking hilarious. The whole scene is great: Little Girl: You dented the car. Little Boy: I like sleeping on the couch. LG: I don't like your tone. Take your shoes off. And Don is just taking it in. Sounds like everyone in the neighborhood is as alienated as him. As least what the kids hear. From the mouth of babes...... |

The kid is a creepy walking entitlement program... He's a jerk. It's one thing to be aggressive in your career, but he's basically a silver spoon
fed jerk.
(his father is a big bully and jerk himself) |

I thought the first episode was brilliant but it seems to be moving in a different direction with all the scenes of Don at home with his insane wife and
divorced neighbor. I was much more interested in the office enviroment between the Ad men and the secretaries.
