That is a good point and I ask myself that all the time. When I was a kid George Reeve's superman was one of the only things I was allowed to watch. My love of Superman overwhelms my disgust with the show... barely.

Thanks for the Ryan update, everyone. I didn't know about him, because <gasp> I missed a couple of episodes last season. I'm sorry. It won't happen again.

My Review of Skinwalker
Anyone who falls for Clark, Lana, or Chloe beware, you are probably a freak and will die or get locked up. I did not hate this one as much as others, but I did find it dull. It lacked both action and drama. The good part was that it was not as stupid as some. I have no idea why Clark was in the mansion just in time to save Lionel, I guess we will never know. I liked that they finally answered the Lexcorp question even though had it been an employee buyout most likely Lexcorp would be strapped for cash and unable to offer Lionel money for that office complex project. I have to wonder why Luthercorp would be building an office complex in Smallville, surely it was not to rent out space, but it makes even less sense that it would have Luthercorp employees in it. I found it inconsistent that Jonathon had a heart attack over Pete finding out about Super Clark, but when Clark told him that he could be "himself" around total stranger chick it was no problem. I was hoping the caves would be a lot more interesting. We already know that Clark has the strength of ten people and can shoot fire from his eyes. We also know that he and Lex will become enemies, it would have been nice to see more, instead we have yet another half-started storyline. Is it my imagination or did Whitney get through basic training, learn a special skill, and get himself MIA in record time? I am wondering when I will care about Henry Small, it sure hasn't happened yet. The will probably kill him and give her a whole new reason to whine. I thought Pete was going to get more air time this season. Pete where are you? "Hey you total stranger dude, let me give you a family heirloom that has been passed down for generations because my daughter liked you for a week." I had high hopes for this episode so in that I am disappointed but I still think it was fair because it was not as stupid. |

Concentrate on what's important.
They killed the cute fluffy puppy! Least threatening monster since the killer tomatos. You can never tell with bees.

Re: Smallville... | ||

Yeah that FOTW was not very scary.
One other thing about the cave... I don't know if I would go to all the trouble of etching in stone about Nanu Nanu (yes Mork & Mindy) being destined to be with wolfie chick FOR A WEEK. That was some destiny, I guess literally they were together, but it sure doesn't seem to be important enough to write on stone over. |

duh. THAT was why the bracelet had to be given to Clark, so he can eventually give it to Lois in some weird paralell universe where Lex has hair and nothing matches with Lois and Clark (forgive me for not being a die hard fan, I havent had 1 superman comic in my hands in all my life).
I'm still amazed about how there are NO ugly people in smallville From beneath you I devour

Jor-El visited Earth, I bet
|
Okay... the "TRIBE" didn't fortell Clark's arrival. It was a visiting Kryptonian, apparently, who came to visit and told the tribe that another would be coming. Wasn't Jor-El the Chicken Little of Krypton by saying it would blow up? I'd expect him to scout out appropriate planets to move the Kryptonians to, but they didn't believe him. Still, he knew of Earth enough to send Clark there. He also knew Clark would have extra powers. So Jor-El was probably the visitor.
The other predictions, like about Lex, though, ... well... maybe they do have some sort of future-predictiing technology on Krypton. For some reason it didn't work on prediciting the explosion of Krypton. Perhaps it's non-prediction is what made the other Kryptonians ignore Jor-El's warnings. And since I didn't like "Lois and Clark", I'm glad this series isn't trying to be anything like it. |

The Spaceship Key Thingy
|
I love this sappy, stupid, teeny bopper show.
I was wondering about the spaceship "key"--the hexagon thing made of some special alien metal. Who has it now? I know Lex lost it during the tornado episode. I missed a couple since then. When it's found, will it fit into the cave space, opening some really cool alien hideout? Maybe some connection to the Fortress of Solitude? TANSTAAFL

The good thing is with the lousy reruns now I can take a much needed break from the show.

Chris Reeve to get work | ||
|
OK, I don't watch Smallville, and I don't know if this is already well known, but I DO like Chris Reeve and am always glad to see him get work.
From IMDB: Onetime Superman star Christopher Reeve has been signed to make a guest appearance on The WB's Smallville, which deals with Clark Kent's teen years, according to TV Guide. Reeve is set to appear as Dr. Swann, a scientist, in what is likely to be a recurring role. Today's Hollywood Reporter quoted Smallville co-creator Alfred Gough as saying that the character was written with Reeve in mind, "and we were extremely honored when he said yes. ... I would love to have him back, and it would be completely up to him." In order to accommodate Reeve, who was paralyzed in a horse-riding accident in 1995, his scenes will be shot in New York City instead of Vancouver, where the series ordinarily is produced. Just FWIW. right

I liked the whole dramatic "Lana dropping books to run to Whitney" routine they did. It was the best.
