Geeze you guys are a bunch of Chicken Littles. It's not 'certianly dead'. Calmd own a bit. They aren't expecting huge numbers for a show like
this. Relax a little.
And to the poster who asked. Chuck's dead father is her bio dad. The one aunt is her bio mom but no one but her and Olive know this. |

But how can the be her "Aunts"? Are they aunts in the sense of friends of the family being called aunts? Cause otherwise there was some incest going

This was the problem for me (as someone they may have been trying to "hook," a new viewer.)
It was fun and fresh but not compelling enough for the hassle of figuring out who was who and what was up. Hell, Alias was confusing as hell for someone who hadn't seen it from the beginning and was trying to watch during the middle of the first season, but they got me. It was worth the hassle to figure out who was who and what the hell was happening. This premier almost nabbed me as a new viewer, but missed. By the end of it, the balance shifted from compelling-fresh to confusing-cutesy, and left me with, "Well, if I remember it's on, I may watch again. Or? Not." |

Maxx they've never explained the relationship. But given that Vivian and Lily's last name is Charles as well...we can guess that's Chuck's
'dad' was their brother and he took on raising Chuck to hide Lily's parenthood.

Unlike all the garbage spewed out about Survivor ratings at these forums, those ratings are definately something to be concerned about. Fourth place out of
the four big networks.
The 'spin' from ABC is that at least it beat Knight Rider in the women's demos.
http://tvbythenumbers.com...dults-18-34-abc-spin/5589 At the very least, it tied the garbage that CBS was spewing out at 8 with the 18-49 numbers and beat them with the 18-34 numberse. Its times like these that I'm thankful that this show isn't on FOX. Give the show time to build an audience after being off the air for 9+ months and hopefully it can do well. At the very least one would hope that within the next few weeks it can beat the cruddy competition on CBS and NBC. Bones is one of the 4 or 5 shows on FOX that actually gets consistent good ratings (as bad as PD's ratings were, it still beats a lot of shows on FOX like Terminator, Prison Break, Til Death, etc...) so I don't expect PD to be able to beat it, but getting 2nd would definately be respectable.

Wait, what were the ratings like last year before the 9 month break? If they were good, then it means that the stupid writers strike ruined this shows chances
of developping a fan base, and now it needs to start over...

Pigby love! Great premier! Loved it, to bad ratings weren't better. I'm hoping it will grow an audience, though I don't know any Nielson families I
am telling all of my friends about this show and letting them borrow my DVD.
Everyone was on the top of their game, some great plot developments and continuation from last season. |

Back to the show. To me the funniest line by far was when Olive told the Mother Superior, "So it's like a gym membership - I can leave at any
time."
And the Mother Superior looks up to the sky and utters a truly exasperated, "GOD!!!..." but then adds, ".......... in his wisdom led you here...." Even Olive looked heavenward for a moment. I LOL'd. |

My guess:
Lily slept with Charles and had Chuck. He lies and says it was another woman who died in childbirth and he/Lily convinces the sisters/Vivine to pretend to be his siblings. |

I've only watched a couple episodes, but the reason this show might be cancelled is that the overall concept of raising the dead/killing someone with one
touch is gimmicky. The writers should just propose to end it after three seasons.
