If you can't hold it, you take your ass to the men's room and cry in private on the toilet… like a man! You know suddenly the crazy cat lady don't seem so crazy any more This show IS like pie. Would be imminent cancellation numbers . I'm very very very concerned. Not to mention, that show got promoted like hell. Probably the #1 advertised ABC show of the season. So much more than Private Practice or DSM.

Losing to BONES is one thing (since it's a popular, established series), but KNIGHT RIDER? I don't think 6.32 million is imminent cancellation (this is ABC, not CBS), but considering the critical favorite that this was last season (as well as one of the few (if not only) new shows on regular TV that was nominated for anything in the GGs, that's pretty bad. I also think of the returning shows, it was the most heavily advertised. The whole ABC bloc is an alternative to CBS's crime drama, so I don't see the network cutting any of them just yet. Revenge of the WGA Strike continues.

Where in the hell would it go on the CW? The CW wants to market itself at younger women. And has a token night dedicated to men (Smallville, Supernatural). Pushing Daisies would not fit perfectly on the CW. All of it's teen drama trite bull shit shows that run Monday-Wednesday are absolutely awful. Pushing Daisies would have no show to run with. Honestly. Name one it would fit well with....there isn't one. Oddly enough, despite Dawn (Demon) O.'s plan to target younger women, the CWs #1 and #2 scripted shows remain Smallville and SPN. Its "male targetted" night. Which, also is kind of strange given SPN's fanbase was recently appraised at nearly 90% women. My point is this: The CW is not the place for Pushing Daisies. There is no place for it in its lineup, and the audience for most of the CWs shows are too fucking stupid to get the show anyway.

And to suggest that the CW would be perfect for Pushing Daisies is ridiculous. Quirky dramedy with a strong fanbase and good critical appeal. Veronica Mars anyone? My current favorite show is on the CW, but it's under promoted and it still over performs. Yet still, Demon O is a real bitch about it all. So yeah...I do take the CW pretty seriously because it's pissed me off hardcore in the past. And if you mean I take "TV" seriously...yeah. shrug I do.

Daisies posted a meager 2.0 in the 18-49 demographic, so it's almost as good as dead. Notably, The New Adventures of Old Christine only posted a 2.0 while Gary Unmarried had a 2.2. The difference though is that CBS is used to having nobody in the key demographic and making up for it by having a ton of viewers overall (all of them cashing in Social Security checks)....if this show can post similar numbers throughout the season or have a slight boost, it's possible that the rating it received last night could keep it around for a third season. But if there's any loss of viewers that puts it over television's new Mendoza line, a 2.0 rating in 18-49, it's time to pack it in and re-watch Wonderfalls. Premiere was on par with what I'd expect from this show. I'm certainly satisfied with it creatively.

Yeah, that was definitely an issue. Hell, even I who has never missed a PD or DSM had a very hard time remembering last season's storylines. How are any brand new viewers supposed to get into it? And yeah, so they had a PD recap for new viewers, but if I was an average person that had never seen the show before, it would have confused me and by the time I could figure it all out, I would have already switched to the no-brain-necessary Knight Rider show Last Edited By: SonOfAbraxas 10/02/08 12:30 PM. Chuck's father, the man that died, was he her biological father or did he adopt her? I ask because I don't understand how the aunts are Chuck's aunts. If he is her biological father, then that means the aunts aren't really related to Chuck, they are just friends of the family that would be called aunts. If he adopted her, that would make him Lily & Vivian's brother, so they would be her aunts. Did they mention before that Chuck was adopted, because that is the only way it seems to work for me.

Here were my impressions: Cute, kind of surprising, why haven't I seen this before? What the hell is this show, who are these people, already lost on relationships...? 3/4ths of the way through and now I am more lost, but still enjoying it, but a little frustrated. The phone rang, I missed the end...oh well. I assume this was some kind of "recap" episode for new people? It grabbed me, but didn't hold me. I would watch again if I happen to remember, but certainly not make a real effort to see it. Kind of sad there, because I think it has/had real possibilities. Well there goes that half baked theory (get it, half baked, pie........yeah, didn't think it was funny either) I don't think PD was shown during the summer because I would have watched it - they should have Hopefully it won't get canceled but let's see, critical favorite, great stories and dialogue and original - surefire ingredients for a cancellation.
