Can anyone help me out with a simple question?

How did the pie maker discover this one minute rule about bringing someone back to life before another life must expire?

The facts are these: I don't remember how that was exposed in the show.

Can someone help me out here?

Oh, OK. Thank you. I remember that scene. His mother came back to life, he looked out the window and Chuck's dad fell backwards. And the pie maker was able to process all of that, as a child, and figure out the 60 second rule. Hum.

Then the boy and his mother refrained from touching each other, even though she just arose from the dead, through that entire day until she kissed him goodnight as he was in bed, when she died once again. Hum.


Hum. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm looking for a loophole somewhere that will allow the pie maker and Chuck to be together. Digby, Chuck and Dwight (via Chuck's dad) are really the only evidence we have about these rules, right? Everything else is just based on these simple assumptions.

Maybe the pie maker should touch Digby again. Maybe there is a 24 hour rule the pie maker is not aware of. Or a one year rule? Something.
