I loved when they fought eachother. I also really liked Nicole with Ausduh. And Nicole drinking <3 They really ruined the character when they put her in a triangle with Brady & Chloe.

It seems every year the emmys give one acting nomination to NBC. It usually switches between Passions & DAYS. Passions had it last year. DAYS best chance for a nomination will be either Deidre Hall or Martha Madison.

When was the last time Days won anything of importance? just curious I still remember the days of Santa Barbara when they would take prisoners and win what seemed like a bunch. Ever since then it seems no one likes NBC soaps

I am seriously loving John for the first time since he thought he was Roman and first fell in love with Marlena! was that an eye roll he gave Marlena after telling Mama Brady that he wished Shawn had been his Papa? Seeing Chloe with a bandaged face made me remember that she once had some kind of facial injury-- but I can't remember what the circumstances were. can someone remind me? I seem to recall that she broke up with Brady because she wasn't pretty anymore or some such stupidity.

She faked her death because she didn't want Brady to see her scars. (One of the reasons I started hating Chloe. This was a girl who didn't give a fuck about her looks then she fakes her death because of it.) Nicole then found out that Chloe was alive but didn't tell Brady. Cruise and Eden forever. Chloe had a bad scar on her face after a car accident. Remember Brady thought she was dead for a while and that's what drove him to be with Nicole (he was "mourning). Chloe was so concerned with how her face looked that she would rather have Brady think she was dead. Pretty shallow, no? Chloe has much explaining to do now after having so easily betrayed her wedding vows.

I know I'm alone here, but I am loving the Anna and Tony thing. it's like back in the 80s--they always fought and then made up... thanks to all who reminded me of the Chloe thing. I remember that storyline made me stop caring one way or the other about Chloe. Before that, she was one of my faves. OH- it's a small thing, but I'm glad the writers remembered that Philip has a prosthetic leg. :D

I really thought Days had done better than that for the awards. Just makes me sick that when even Days was good it got the blowoff from the blowhards. It bugs me that the voters always seem to pocket the Soaps are are very closed minded to spreading the love. In my kid days it was General Hospital, then Y&R, and for some reason that crapfest known as One life to live did good for a bit ? Not sure but it was one of those soaps no one was watching winning awards. Whatever that soap was that had the character "Todd" used to bug me to death Santa Barbara rules!! I have written soapnet to show the old episodes. Not sure why they run Another World but not Santa Barbara. Oh well

I got turned off when Eden wasn't Eden (I seem to remember a dark wig). I loved, loved, loved A. Martinez. The best years were very early on when Kelly was played by Robin Wright.

My friends tell me not to watch such things... as it brings to mind my recent loss, but it somehow acts as a catharsis. I emphathize completely with Caroline losing her hubby so suddenly. I think it somehow helps me grieve to "grieve with" her. Santa Barbara was great in the early years. Toward the end, they changed Eden's character, and the show really began to suck. I loved that they actually wrapped up every ongoing storyline and gave us closure. It was sad, but satisfying.

Just seemsed strange to me that he didn't crumble to his knees at the news of the death of his father. Thought Roman did a great job. Soaps don't seem to dwell on death. I guess Hope did when Zach was killed, but most soaps just move the story along. Meanwhile, any guess as to what Ava's (Carly #2 from GH) involvment with Steve is?
