Really?
I don't know why but this whole season is just striking me as extremely juvenile. This used to be one of my favourite shows but this season I can't stand it. Maybe I just never noticed before, but they act like idiots. They act like they're freshmen in college. |

This last episode was rather stupid. I don't even understand why Ari would even consider going to the desert.

This last episode was rather stupid. You obviously haven't ever eaten mushrooms. I was laughing so hard at some parts, I thought I might split a gut. "I think I just pulled my dick off"<---Drama; "No, I guess it's OK." |

I have eaten 'shrooms. I just don't think it's a strong enough plot for 30 minutes of what's supposed to be premium television.

I just don't think it's a strong enough plot for 30 minutes of what's supposed to be premium television.I think that they are trying to show the meandering, crazy, whackadoodle life that Vince has been leading since his Medallin fiasco. It's like in Animal House, everything's going to shit, and Otter's like "Road trip!". He drags everyone down with him, like Vince, because they all want a piece of it. It does need to start straightening out now, though. Vince needs to get his mojo back, and if it took a Winnebago, Eric Roberts and Joshua Tree, then so be it. |

Because he had so much mojo to begin with. |

The episode was odd. Maybe it's because I've never tried/seen anyone take shrooms.
Ari = Gold as always. Drama has a funny line or two. Overall I'm still liking the season so far. EDT: My DVR cut off, what was the preview for next week? |

Have to say that I really can't stand the character of Vince anymore. Ari had better take that job. Fuck Vince.

PAPAYOKE wrote:I never liked Vince much to begin with, but geez, what a selfish prick. So he thinks Ari should forego the best job in Hollywood to help Vince get a movie? Vince is the one that fucked up his career with his holier than thou bullshit over Aquaman 2, not to mention the travesty that was Medallion. Plus, didn't Ari advise Vince not to do Medallion? I can't stand that scrawny little girlie-man. |

I think the main problem between Ari and Vince is the vision each of them has about Vince's future in movies. Vince sees himself as the indie/emo
sensitive, yet tough lead, and Ari sees him as the leading man pretty boy movie star; never the twain shall meet, I think. Maybe they're each a little in
love with the other. Their relationship cannot go well from here on. The problem, too, is Eric. He sees Vince in the wrong kinds of movies. I mean, Vince
really doesn't have the clout to pick and choose like he's been doing.

Finally got around to watching and WTF, Vince, raining on Ari's parade??? I am so sick of Vince's attitude and martyrdom. Ari has been giving his
blood, sweat & $@%%# trying to set Vince up and Vince has been a douche the whole way with his elitest 'tude.
I'd love to see this show veer its focus from Vince & the Freeloaders to Ari & Lloyd running the studio and Vince becoming a minor character that Ari, out of the goodness of his heart, throws small roles and "cameo" appearances in movies to. Ari needs to keep that chick as his #2 at the studio, as well, so they can keep up their verbal sparring. It'll never happen, but I can dream. . . |

I can totally see them writing it like this: 1. Ari doesn't take the job since he loves Vince so much and he'll cry everytime he sees Vince on his
screensaver 2. Ari takes the job and realizes later on he doesn't like it and returns to being an agent.
However, if the writers want to surprise us a bit, I'd love to see Ari take and keep the job permanently. But I just don't see that happening, that'll require Vince to get another agent, which means a new character (or perhaps old, if they return to Amanda...which I doubt will happen). Having a new character poses a risk of the newbie being unlikeable and discouraging fans. I remember a lot of people hated Dom when he was around because he just messed with the chemistry and flow of the group, even though the writers loved him, hence, the redemption episode. Vince is my least favorite as well, not because he's spoiled, but he really doesn't have a whole lot of depth. What does he do besides hooking up with girls, shopping, partying, and being really stubborn about what fail projects he wants to do? But really, I've always felt the story was more about his "entourage" than Vince himself. |

Ari Gold's an awesome character, really hope he takes the job, screw Vince, his character has always been so shallow and weak.
