Somebody should have said "well Elisabeth, maybe that's what your husband did".

I can respect a clansman more than I can Elizabeth or Sherri on this topic. If you bring a minority in front of a clansman he will say you don't deserve
rights because you're ______ whatever. If you brought out a gay person to Elizabeth or Sherri, they would hem and haw an say it's all about the
children or the bible but they would not come out and say you don't derserve the right to marry because you are gay.
I don't agree with what the clan believes in and they are a bunch of morons but at least they would comeout and say exactly what they "think" where those 2 bitches and those like them don't have the balls to do the same |

One of the biggest arguments against gay marriage is that it goes against the sanctity that is marriage. How is it sacred for two people that don't love one another to get married? Wouldn't that be fraud (in terms of insurance)? |

Here's hoping that Sherri and Elisabeth catch their future teenage sons fucking each other's brains out.

To defend Sherri just a little, she does admit that the issue is one that she struggles with, and I find that to be an honest answer. I still think she's a bit of a homophobe, ever since that comment about not letting her son play with dolls, but I also get that in the African-American culture being gay is not as easily accepted. She at least tries to understand both sides of this issue. Today Joy lost points when she said she didn't want to talk about it anymore, like she was bored with it. She said it was like abortion and the argument could go on forever. Boofuckinghoo...she never got tired of talking about the presidential election after 3 minutes. |

Does anyone else think that Barbara was having a dig at Keith Olbermann when she asked him "what will you do now, talk about your personal life"? (He
is dating someone almost half his age, certainly young enough to be his daughter).

Time to get off my soap box and have another glass of wine. ;-) I'm a pro-love kinda gal; gay or straight, love and compassion are beautiful things and should never be suppressed. |

I am not going 100% one way or the other but what do gays expect to happen now. The voice of the people was heard. Obviously the time is not right now and any
acceptance they might recieve now is just out of wanting them to shut up. I could understand what sherri says by (more or less) "If you want
acceptance...except my view". Which is how it should be. Maybe next time around the world will be different but any change right now will be from everyone
screaming down everyone elses ear about it.

thats completly different. Then you could say "I like to kill people...accept my view"
its unfortunite that the rights of people are being brought about by a vote by people that will not be effected but its what is happening. If you don't agree, move. Thats sadly what the country is right now. The people of california (and thats a liberal state) don't want gay marriage, imagine what a national vote would look like. |

In the future, when gay marriage is lega the people of Claifornia that voted for this are going to look like morons. I am straight so I have no real vested
interest in this but if you don't think gay marriage will be legal in the future then you (people in general, no one specific) are just fooling yourself. I
would say that in at least 50 years it will be legal and opponents of it are going to look like bigots.
