Liz looked a bit uncomfortable when Dennis was speaking. I liked Dennis' story.
A family member of mine met Barack recently. Family member is a life long republican and told me the cuurent decision is to vote for Obama. |

My father (who is an ultra-conservative minister and has never voted for a Democratic candidate in any election) called me before work this morning to explain to me why he voted for Obama. He's never felt the need to explain his vote and he, my brother and I get into regular, heated debates on everything. Just put a smile on my face (not that he voted for Obama, but that he felt he should call me and tell me why he did). |

I was on the phone with my mom (she's on the east coast) and she told me that she and my 80 year old father just voted (for Obama of course). I heard
"The View" in the background and it was pretty quiet and then I heard all this yelling. I said "What's happening??". She said
"Ooh, Sherry is going after Elisabeth. I gotta go".

Wow. I liked Sherri for the first time in a loooooong time today. I loved the little smiles, and that she finally brought up McCain dumping his wife, and
nailed Lisbet about what being "educated" about racism as read about vs racism as lived.
Hopefully this election is fair and the vote isn't stolen by the easily manipulated machines, and all of the horrific fallout if that happens just...doesn't. Bless the secret service men and women, and hopefully they can really do their jobs well. |
