Being a soldier, good or bad, is better then not being one at all. I am not saying he is automatically the best person in the world but he is a better man then
someone who didn't *almost* give up their lives. If it was switched and Obama was a soldier and McCain was not I would be on Obamas side saying he is more
of a hero....but he is not.
Even MORE of an explanation of the Fuck up/failure line: I hope he disappoints his supporters over these 4 years and makes them regret their decision. Happy now. |

Honestly, this isn't taking anything away from people who give up their lives for the military. It's very honorable. But it's a ridiculous concept to say that they are automatically "better people" for it. |

Did McCain commit a "pretty vicious crime"

Did McCain commit a "pretty vicious crime"What the fuck is your point? YOU were the one who said the following: Being a soldier, good or bad, is better then not being one at all.And that's utter bullshit. Of course McCain hadn't committed a pretty vicious crime. He's slandered Barack and incited race tension to an absurd for this day-and-age point, but no he hasn't committed a vicious crime. |

ok.
Being a soldier, as John McCain is, is better than not being one at all, like Obama. Better....? Or even to a lesser (or greater) extent, John McCain is more of an American than Barack because he has served our country as a soldier, in my opinion. |

Or even to a lesser (or greater) extent, John McCain is more of an American than Barack because he has served our country as a soldier, in my opinion.Well, I think McCain has undermined everything he may have contributed to this country by singlehanded pandering to the lowest common denominator in this country: bigots and idiot Christians. I think he's done far more damage by doing than than he did help by serving our country in a war we lost. You can argue all you want that he has "defended" Obama when the camera has been on him. But he's only done that because not doing so would be political suicide. He's also said he is PROUD of the people who come to his rallies and take offense to them being called Unamerican. Want a reminder of what those people are like? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vagD-4AH4Vc So, is it American to behave that way? Is McCain a good American for saying he's proud of those people? -.- Give me a mother fucking break. eta: I tried to embed so someone with a limited ability to to do anything remotely intelligent wouldn't have to strain yourself. But the link is nearly as easy. |

It's fucking scary if you really think this way (as opposed to baiting people, which would be just as pathetic). Seriously, being a soldier is what makes someone qualified to be president? Seriously? |

Yes.
What are you trying to get at. I said MCCAIN is better than OBAMA for serving our country...not "Anyone who served it a saint over those who did not"....and I even added in my opinion, which as an American I am allowed to have. |

OK, this has gone so off topic, but it's not like the show is entertaining. For whatever reason you want to vote for McCain, JJ, cool (what would you do
if neither candidate served?). But, I have to ask. How can you talk about people being American or Un-American and then say you want the possible president
to fuck up? Please explain to me how either McCain or Obama fucking up can help anyone? That is the one thing I just cannot comprehend.

I already said what I mean. I want his supporters to regret the fact that they supported him. Thats all.

I'm still going to hope that McCain does a good job because it won't be beneficial to anyone. It's fine if you don't like Obama, but don't you want the president, regardless of who it is, to succeed? |

Yes I want the president to succeed. I just hope he does everything good, but in the wrong way. Like Bush. I feel we needed to get Saddam out...but we did
it in the wrong way...I feel most of what Bush did was good at its essence but he did everything in a horrible way.

As an outsider looking in, I think everything JJ has been saying is about as unAmerican as you can get. I am utterly astounded.
But I feel the same about all of the fanatical Republicans who seem to believe THEY have the corner on the patriotic market, and then open their mouths and prove how small and narrow minded they really are. The video that someone posted above just blows me away. America the Great, indeed. Right or wrong, this is yet another fine example of why much of the rest of the world does not really understand your country at present. Which is too bad, as the US has some really wonderful qualities as a country, and many fine citizens, all of which/whom are being overshadowed by the hateful drivel. I really hope y'all are able to heal afterwards, whichever way the election goes. And bringing this thread back on topic, we keep hearing ( from Baba Wawa, et al ) about how wonderful The View is, since it's the only forum in TV where women can simply express their opinions. But I think the show has gone waaaay overboard in their effort to garner ratings, and has done just as much damage to the collective American psyche as pretty much anything else we've seen and heard in the last 2 years. Seriously. Just stop. |

I don't want a man as president. I hope people regret that decision when they realize the man will have to conform to a lot of the norms he is against and
also not be able to do a lot of what he said. I will support him, I will not vote for him. A black man in the political public eye has a historically higher
chance of "Dying". I believe it is more noble to have served this country than to have not.
Sorry if that seems unamerican. |

JJ, saying the SAME shit trying to incite a reaction from DIFFERENT posters... just trying to get people to respond to him and show him attention.
It's sad. I shouldnt have responded to his bullshit because that gives him some attention but I just let others know JJ's spiel. |
