Elisabeth brings facts to the show. Sure, she may be bias in some of her responses to things, but at least she knows what the hell she's talking about. And Whoopi as well. I like Joy, but she bitches about the same shit time and time again. She can never back what she's saying up. And Sherri? Well.....I have nothing. |

I wonder if Elizabeth will admit that Palin beat around the bush around some of the questions, making herself look like she was not answering the questions at
all. Which is the sense I got from her. Usually you can tell how prepared a person is for a debate based on how they answered the question. If they answer
directly to the question which Biden did, it shows he knows what he's talking about. If they have to have the moderator ask you to confirm your answer the
way it occurred once or twice last night the way Gwynn did for Palin then it shows that she doesn't have all her facts and was just looking for a way to
skirt around it.

I used to love this show when it first came on, Meridith and Lisa Ling were my fav's. Then Lisa left and so began The View's contest for the next
co-host, enter Lisbot . It came down to two and she won the coin toss. Needless to say just after she spoke at the Republican Convention she became even more
insufferable and I quit watching. She has always been a self-righteous little twit. When Rosie joined I started watching it again. Rosie even though she had
good opinions was very brash and abrasive in expressing them. Although if I had to deal with someone like Lis on a daily basis for 4 days a week, I might be
the same way myself. I stopped watching again. Tried again when Whoppie joined The View, but I just could not take Lisbot's self-righteous stupidity any
longer than the other two times. She could not find her own opinion if it flew up and smacked her upside of her head concerning politics and the Republican
party.The mindset of because they are elected official's of my party and they can do no wrong, no matter what they do is so off base and unrealistic it is
no wonder our wonderful country is in the shape it is now.

FYI guys, AOL has a news story today where Elisabeth addresses the rumors that she's leaving "The View" for Fox News. Bottom line? She isn't
going anywhere. According to the story, she enjoys "being a part of this dynamic group of women."

If you actually listen to what she says, she brings up statements people have said, past issues they've voted on, and polls/stats from past/present. You can't say Joy or Sherri do that. They just mouth off their opinion and expect you to accept that. Elisabeth does her research before she goes on air unlike the other women, but of course, people won't acknowledge that because they hate her and the Republican party. |

^^^Let's get this clear- her "research" is really Republican talking points. If she actually did research she'd have a more nuanced
conservative view. Her problem is that she is unable to understand her talking points; she just parrots them. She cannot rationally explain her thought
process, as do most diehards, because it is wrapped up more in emotion than actual reason.

I can hear the conversation now: Lizzie will say that Palin was wonderful and down to earth and showed a mastery of the issues, blah, blah, blah. Joy will
then rant about how she didn't answer the questions and Elizabeth will quote Palin saying she didn't necessarily answer the questions the way the
moderator or Biden wanted her to, but she was speaking to the AMERICAN PEOPLE. Lizzie has shown a mastery of quoting Palin's spiel like she did when she
said that Palin's experience governing in Alaska was so pertinent since Alaska is a small microcosm of the nation. And then she will point out some
mistake that Biden made (it will be the one that Faux News is obsessing over this week-end, whatever that may be.) They will all be loaded for bear, but it is
all pretty predictable.
I can't wait for someone to do a side-by-side of George Bush and Sarah Palin. The "folksy charm," the "energy expertise," both governors, both stupid. Joy would have a blast with it. |
