Yeah, Rosie can be loud, obnoxious, and opinionated, which, come to think of it, sounds a little like.....Elisabeth, and Joy, for that matter. If I remember correctly, though [and I am in my dotage], the penultimate fight between Rosie and Elisabeth started by Rosie commenting about the thousands of Iraqi lives lost during the war (including innocent men, women, and children). Rosie then suggested that in the eyes of some Iraqis, the Americans might be terrorists. To which Elisabeth began yelling over Rosie in her usual histrionic way, "Are you saying our soldiers are terrorists? Are you saying our soldiers are terrorists?" I haven't seen the tape in a long time, so, as I said, I may be inaccurate here.

Forty-five years ago, my seventh-grade Social Studies teacher asked our class the question: "During the Revolutionary War, we called our soldiers patriots, but to the British, they were lawless agitators and killers. Which were they?" This question was posed to make us consider, at a young age, that there is more than one perception of events and that historical "truth" depends on which side you're on. So I was not offended by Rosie's comment, but I was offended by Elisabeth's distortion of what she said.

I also agree that Elisabeth is as entitled as the rest to voice her opinion. But it riles me when she distorts what others say and then pouts, cries -----or whines!---- when others challenge her. She has a lot of growing up to do.
