When Romona was on wife Swap she turned the Family's TV into a fish bowl. For someone who doesnt care too much for TV she sure likes to be on it

Well that was interesting. I think I'm going to enjoy this. I was hoping they'd get rid of that bland blond woman Donna and keep crazy Ramona on for another week or two.
The bedrooms were pretty cool. The living room sucked, and that mural of Miss Utah was lame. So far, Temple isn't as annoying as I was expecting her to be. However, the girl who won the challenge overall is pretty annoying. I like Joseph for some reason. He was pretty quiet this week, but he seemed like a cool guy. |

Definitely inspired by PROJECT RUNWAY. Note to the producers: There's no suspense to identifying part of the group as the best and worst designers for the week, when you've already told the best designers how well they did.
Good choice on the first boot. Not only were the sculptures fugly, but that mural was a glorified stick figure of Miss Utah. |

Miss Utah is a glorified stick figure, so the mural was accurate.

had to watch the rerun last night
what was that in Ramona's hair? a knitting needle? almost poked the eye out of the other woman she's just an artist; not a decorator so, shouldn't even been in the show I know I'd pay $500 for that cement covered vacuum cleaner |

If Ramona was any good (sadly, she wasn't), the concept of a show where you take used things and turn them into something nice and updated, could be good. I'm sure has to be some type of show like that on HGTV or one of the other home type show networks though.
Also...BUMP for tonight's show. |

^There is a show like that on HGTV, because I remember seeing a commercial for it during last week's episode and thinking that I needed to add it to my DVR (I forgot). Two guys take old furniture out of people's trash, fix them up and return them (I think).

I thought that was a large artist's paint brush in Ramona's hair. She was quite delusional.

Joseph. It should have been Vanessa though. God what a bitch. Temple is an evil screw with fake ass tits. I continue to love Vern. His facial expressions are hilarious when he sees each room. You can tell he thinks some rooms are hideous but he is still nice about it.

I didn't really want Joseph to go, but I did think their room sucked the most. They could have at least changed the wall color.
And, what's with "distressing" those kitchen cabinets? It seems like that would take value away from them. Probably not something you want to do when selling a house. And the upstairs bedroom needed a little more color. It was blah. I didn't like the floor. I bet it's really uncomfortable to walk on it when you're barefoot. |

Ugh, I liked Joseph! I knew he wouldn't make it far though, he seems just like an average Joe and not dynamic enough for what they are looking for.
Temple, Donna and Vanessa are all assholes. If Vanessa says one more time..."I was featured in such and such magazine"...ugh. Shut it! LOL I like the twins and also Alice seems cool. |

agree with everything you say seaguy. I thought that was the reason Joseph went too not good enough tv for them. He is such a cutie though. And i loved how Alice stuck up for him.
So glad they work as individuals next week |

Re: HGTV's Design Star | ||

I was surprised that the designs weren't more geared towards selling the house, which generally means more neutrals (those red curtains/plates/upholstery were horrid). Getting away from the actual finished product for a second, the bedroom crew's design was definitely more along the lines of designing to sell.
I knew I'd dislike the pillow twit. And the two blondes were just mad at one another because one is the other's past and one is the other's future. Deal with it, heffas. |

I think a PMS bomb hit that house last night. Jesus Christ!
And yes, that living room was frightening. |

Quote: So true, Papa. That's why Donna bugs me so much. I worked for a "designer" like her years ago. Unbelievably rich husband, trophy wife. I'm sure her thought process is something like this. "Gee, I'm bored. Everyone likes the way I decorated the living room at the beach house! I love shopping and spending my husband's money! I could spend other people's money! I should be a designer!" |
