loved the new ep.
Gene & Nick at the spa was priceless "Dad, everytime I breathe I can see the future" Gene talking to Sophie's "friend" was great too it's a pitty he finnished another episode in an ambulance |

Gene's down. Let me go for help...but let me position the camera to get a good shot of you freezing, first. I'm a little shocked at how normal the kids are also. I like how the son looks more like Paul Stanley than Gene. Hmmm.

I swear Shannon didn't look all that different to me. I need to see a side-by-side before and after. And didn't she have a nose job too? Or am I mistaken?

I swear that Nick is such a cutie pie! I bet the birthday girl much preferred that Nick came to her birthday instead of Gene. Too funny that Gene had an alllergic reaction to all the "natural" face mask and stuff they put on him, and the other guy didn't. Why the big reveal at the porn awards? Besides, it's too late, I already saw him, post-facelift, on one of the morning shows.

They both look about the same. Gene looks a little younger, more relaxed. Shannon looks the same (and maybe a little worse) post face lift. I don't know why she would want to change her nose. If I got a nose job I would want them to give me Shannon's nose.

I read Gene and Shannon were at the Kentucky Derby and Gene said Shannon bet $100,000 of his money. Wonder if she won?
During last night's show, it seemed like Shannon and the kids were uncomfortable with Gene trying to hook that guy up. And Gene talking about his "thousands" of conquests. |

I think it's the thousands of conquests that have the kids uncomfortable. I have the feeling that Gene's conquests aren't what they seem (I'm sure he's been with his share of groopies, but I don't think it's in the thousands and thousands that he makes it to be).

I never thought I'd find a show that makes my other guilty pleasure - Dog the Bounty Hunter - look normal by comparison.
I love the kids - Nick's sardonic delivery is priceless. |

I have been enjoying this show. Haven't caught yesterday's episode yet. They all seem so grounded, the kids seem actually normal.

Of course, Sophie was going to be better at the physical stuff. She's a 14 year old kid. And Gene is close to 60, isn't he? Liked the medley Gene and the band did of all the military songs.

gene's hair has got to be the worst dyejob ever.
does he want it to look so obviously dyed? looks like a dyed, steel wool hair helmet. ....other than that bothering me-Gene seems to be a real class act. really.....with a well-rounded family. wonder how many of the Gotti's have since been arrested/jailed since their train wreck was finally cancelled? **ponder** |

I enjoy this show, but Gene hams it up so much..it's amazing his kids aren't more cynical. The show has taken a turn for the scripted, but it's still fun to watch.

You know, I don't mind that it's scripted at all. A lot of shows I watch are scripted. As long as I enjoy it, that's all that matters to me.

I've decided that one of my favorite parts is the delightfully ditzy 50's style music they play in the background whenever the 'characters' are speaking to the camera. It's so obviously campy....so "let's not take ourselves seriously"....so fun.
and I still think Nick is hot...and I'm 44. Sigh. Borders on sick, doesn't it? |

I'm glad that Gene explained that he got a high draft number. I was wondering through out the show why he never went to Viet Nam. It's sweet that he would have gone if they had drafted him (though I wouldn't have blamed him if he didn't).
