Amusing show, but Gene is quite pathetic at times. The limo ride with the wedding party girls while he leered and rolled his tongue a bit reminded me of some old lech at Del Boca Vista. The awful dyed hair, a hair helmet to disguise the fact that he really is a 72 year old ...give it a rest, Gene.
Yes, the son is charming ( like dad), and handsome. Great kid.. |

I love that little family. In one episode, you can just tell they all love each other. Gene in his red footie pajamas. Gene and Shannon making goofy noises when they kiss. Nick getting embarrassed by his dad who can't stop sharing his "wisdom". All of those home movie clips. I bet Gene's shpiel about the benefits of staying single are just part of his public persona. One more thing he makes money on.

Any one else think that maybe the show is a vechicle to lanch Nick's singing career? He seems to be the star of this show, not his father.

That Nick is so cute! He sings just like his dad, too. I thought it was telling, after Gene's big night out, when he got home he went to bed in his pajamas and wanted to sleep, not have sex. The other is probably just the rock star act.

For sure it is meant to promote Nick - but it's far less blatant than the Hulk Hogan trainwreck to promote his daughter Brooke.
They have a lot of wit & charm. I definately like them - and I didn't expect to feel that way. The "vagina storm" quote was priceless. |

some of it is so staged and goofy I just rolled my eyes at the tv but they look normal. It's nice to see some celeb kids not act like spoiled little braturds, at least while the cameras are rolling.
I can't wait for the next episode. |

This seemed so staged. It had story lines right out of a sitcom. BTW, what's up with Shannon wanting to have a baby at 49? With all of their money they should adopt a child. She's too old to be having a baby.

I watched 1/2 an epi a few days ago - where he comes home from Fat Camp to find the dog licking whipped cream off his desk.
This is more staged than the Simple Life. |

I like it. It makes me laugh. Nick is a cutie, and so funny. Loved him imitating Gene the other night. IA about Shannon wanting to have a baby. The kids are teenagers, and you want to start with diapers and stuff again, why?

This show seems to be one or two jokes told and retold ad nauseum.
The central idea is that anything that is out of Gene's comfort zone, he whines about and ... that is supposed to be funny? But it's not funny. It's just fucking horseshit. I hope this thing crashes and burns as soon as possible. In th meantime, it would be nice if they showed some pics and videos of Shannon from about 25 years ago - when she was hot. She ain't hot now. And therein lies the real problem with this show. It would have been great 20 or 25 years ago when Kiss was hot and Gene was hot and Shannon was REALLY hot. But none of them are hot now. They're not even fucking interesting. Who the fuck got talked into airing this piece of shit? And who the fuck would have paid for it? Know what? Never mind. I'm not interested in the answer. I don't know and I don't care. I'm out of here. Bye! |

This is so staged. Every episode is like a sitcom. Espically with Aunt Tracy. In the first place why really do they need a sitter when Nick is almost a man and in the second place when Aunt Tracy is more immature than the kids. Also, what was up with the man doing the body piercings? You can't bring someone over to do a navel piercing on a 13-year-old child that isn't yours, without the parent's permission. That's bullshit. If you did that you could go to jail.
