If Old Ted is dragging out the story for his children, wouldn't they realize right away that Stella is their mom since they would know their mom's name
and would know if they have an older half-sister?

I love this show, it feels like a show that's directed squarely at my age group, and I was pretty dismayed when I saw Britney Spears was going to guest
star; it seemed like a really cheesy attempt to boost ratings. I fully expected to hate this episode, so I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was
actually really cute, I especially liked the part when Barney was hollering at her and her boss was telling her to hang up. She was not bad at all.

I agree Leeopold. I was also prepared to hate this episode because of Britney, but I agree, it ended exceeding my expectations.

This show has always been a classic hit or miss, but lately there are more misses than hits. Still worth watching when Prison Break is on hiatus though.

Is it just me or did most of the cast loose a ton of weight during the strike? Robyn looks damn near unhealthy.

I didn't notice anything.

Scrubs will air next season but it sounds like they're filming all the episodes in one fell swoop this spring/summer.

To no surprise, Britney gave the show their highest rating ever last night.
"Mother" spiked to a series high 4.5 preliminary rating among adults 18-49, even as the rest of the CBS comedy lineup fell from last week's record-setting return to original episodes. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/ratings/e3ia2cce804ce40901da859ad421b88db14 |

I am very happy for HIMYM. This show has been one of my favorites since season one. I hope the momentum only continues to rise.

Now the task is getting those same viewers to check out next week's episode which appears to be 10x funnier on premise than this week's.

I think the doctor was originally planned to be the mother but when they recast with Chalke that probably got rethunk. The bump girl from the St.Patty's
ep was probably meant to be the doc when it was Alicia, but since they left the line in for Chalke about being out on St.Patty's maybe they're leaving
it open just in case.
Britney was pretty bad, but they gave her a cute xter and did a good job of not showing her face for all of her lines. She is morphing more into an object of sympathy/pity so the casting was actually spot on with Abby the receptionist. |

I'm really hoping Britney's appearance gives HIMYM the boost it deserves. Its one of the best comedies on TV right now. Its been an underdog for too
long now.

It gave it enough of a boost to get a renewal for next season. Whether any of the new viewers will stick around, who knows?

Am I the only poster on SurviorSucks who has chosen their screen nic based on an episode of How I Met Your Mother? In case you all were wondering mine was
taken from the 1st season episode where Ted was wearing a Hanging Chad costume.

I might watch next week, this was the first episode I've ever seen and it seems sorta funny. But maybe that was only because I love both Britney and Sarah Chalke. Is Alicia Silverstone going to be on the show at a later time since she was replaced for this episode? |
