I love Lost because I loved the X Files. But I also love that this show has over 40 people in it and they aren't afraid to even expand the cast. I love good actors and frankly Adebesi's addition tonght to really up the ante. I think as he and Harold have worked together before he will raise his acting back up to levels that last week's episode did not showcase. Frankly I love the guy but that was just suckface.
But for Wife Swap I do think it is time to start with some true cultural exchanges.. Muslim, Indian/Hindu, Atheists with Right wing Christians, some Asian families. The clean/dirty black/white thing has been played. 30 days did an excellent one with a Christian man moving into a Muslim household for a month and given the climate it may be a way of doing what Karen Hughes is incapable of. Plus why not a single or even childless family, single parent families giving someone a taste of not having responsibilites vs tons and the idea of reminding why one is married over one who is a career focused individual. We could start with this Miers lady.. Supreme Court Justice for a day!!!! |

just had to say that, duh, if you clean the house every day it won't matter if you have 8 dogs in the house. Having them go in/out is fine as long as you're cleaning regularly. If they aren't housebroken than get them trained or get them out.

lordy -- I was hoping that KY mom & PA dad would have hooked up : Ramona was a selfish biatch & Michael was a full size toddler!!!
Why do they always act like it's a personal offense to their 'lifestyle' to follow the rules week 2?? didn't Ramona eat junk for a week for you? oh, so she goofed on the dish-washer : chill - ya big baby!! And for someone who's so big on ''cleanliness'', isn't it a little childish as well as disgusting to dump your veggies in a bag in the laundry room? The PA dad was soooo cool. It was just weird thinking of him with Ramona. Why not let the TV stay & regulate the usage? they put in a dish, so you can limit channels to educational & the time allowed on by Lucy..... I REALLY hate TV's in kids bedrooms (especially 5 yr olds!!!) so ditching her small set was ok. I guess Ramona doesn't get that excluding the outside world from Lucy will not do anything but over-saturate her senses when she goes out on her own. Kathy -- getting Hannah's ''pageant stage'' out of the play room means actually OUT - standing it in the corner while the camera crew is filming isn't convincing me. And it was totally disgusting to see your daughter get so pissy at the pageant. I HATE that you don't think it's warping her self-image just a little bit to be judged day in / day out. And so glad you found time in your busy day to actually COOK some food for your family (how long did you think Hannah could do pageants if she lived off of deep fried fat & burgers??). And do we know what Michael did for a living? He just came across as such a whiny, pouty little kid == I can't picture him having a job that actually calls for responsibility, esp. one that pays enough for that house, a stay-at-home mom, and pageants (which I guess only Hannah is 'pretty' enough for, poor Maddie). eta: I wonder if Michael considers "Wife Swap" to be an effective use of the 'educational tool' that is the television. |

Well this is quite interesting. Hippie Dippie Nutonya is living an "alternative" lifestyle... yes apparently so is Star Jones as they both have gay husbands. If they want to find something in common, may I suggest they begin by finding Andre's balls. I am in fact unsure as to why Nutonya married in the first place as she seems clearly uninterested in her family at all unless to control and dominate them.
As for the Frumps, they need to rethink their diet or the only pageant that kid is going to be in a few years is the Big Girls are Gorgeous too. Of course its a little late for mom. Which is clearly why she makes that kid/doll do it in the first place. Compensate much? But apparently my definition of meat and potatoes does not mean hot dogs and fries but okay. However vegetarian cooking can be appetizing but Nutonya's cooking looks well like she looks... gross. As for hippie dippie Nutonya being alternative that word applies to many things but I didn't know it also applied to being hygenically challenged. Looking at the hair on her head makes me wonder about hair elsewhere. I loved when she said her younger sister was jealous of her and she wasn't a beauty winner. Uh, really, no kidding??? The one thing I have learned is that despite the fact that most parents are fucked up beyond belief kids are resilient as hell and that even the little pageant queen was not a diva princess...YET. |

When hippie mom took the tv apart to turn it into a fish tank, I wanted to smack her! TV is your friend. What a moron.
Of the two moms, I liked the pageant mom more. At least she was OPEN to change. Damn hippie mom, "I'm really not going to take away anything from your family." I did not like her at all. In fact, I wished they had said at the end she and hippie dad were getting a divorce. That poor daughter - I feel like I should pray for her (and I'm not even religious). Again, the pageant dad came to the other side too quickly. One minute he's crying over his veggies, the next he's saying she has a point. At least it wasn't cheese doodles (what vegie is that representing?) |

As much as I hated the hippie mom? Her kid was really pleasant. At an age when kids usually are not.
And the pagent kid and the other one were not very nice. I didn't like the way this episode was edited. Everything did a 180 and everyone changed their minds and stuff at the end with little conflict. It was like they had to hurry up and end it. Little girls dressed like hookers make my skin crawl. |
