Well I just found out from the paper where they live, North Syracuse - guess what thats where I live! God I am embarrassed now! I swear that's really not like all of us, I didnt realize we had such hicks - Anyway now I'm going to do a driveby on he way home from work see if I can see her outside and shout things at her - oh no wait, I probably wont find her there she will be at the casino. I can tell you these people are going to be so harrassed here, the newspaper actually printed what street they live on, and its a pretty short street I'm sure I'll be able to pick out the house based on what I saw last night they showed the outside many times. I'll be sure to pass along your good tidings Glam!

North Syracuse family harassed after TV show

A North Syracuse couple got an unlisted telephone number and moved their two children out of their house because of harassment over the family's appearance on ABC's "Wife Swap," the mother of the husband said Thursday.

She said Jeremy Felix and his wife, Vicki, began receiving calls Tuesday night from several people threatening to harm the family because he acknowledged on the reality show that he's used the N-word at home.

When several cars drove by and beeped horns in front of the house, Wilma Felix said, the family contacted the show's producers, who arranged for private security to be posted outside at night.

She said her son and daughter-in-law now deeply regret their decision to appear on the show, which has sparked remarks on Syracuse.com forums accusing the family of being racists and suggesting that their two children, ages 9 and 5, should be taken away.

The couple are now looking into the possibility of moving out of the area, said Wilma Felix, who added that the couple now realize that some things they said on the show were "stupid."

"It's a nightmare. There's been nothing positive about this," she said. "I have never known my daughter-in-law to be afraid of anything, but she won't go to the store. I will not go to a store. Anything I've needed at the store the last couple of days, I've sent my husband because his face was not on that TV."

Wilma Felix appeared briefly on the episode with Neicey Wiggins, the North Carolina woman 2

who came to North Syracuse to swap families with Vicki Felix for two weeks last spring while cameras rolled.

On the program, Wiggins was shown angrily confronting Jeremy Felix about his past use of the N-word. He later promised never to use it again.

The Felixes are Caucasian. Wiggins and her husband, Bill, are black.

Jeremy and Vicki Felix have declined to be interviewed about the show. Wilma Felix said the couple aren't ready to talk because they believe the contract they signed to appear on "Wife Swap" prohibits them from revealing all the details about their experiences with the program.

A spokeswoman for ABC confirmed the producers hired security for the family.

She said there is nothing in the contract censoring what the Felixes can say about "Wife Swap."

Wilma Felix said the couple was paid $5,000 for their appearance.

Capt. Michael Casey of the North Syracuse Police Department confirmed that officers looked into Vicki Felix's complaint about harassing calls.

He said there was no way to identify who made them.

"She was advised to change her number," Casey said.
