Thank you, Drew. I forgot about Jarell's. That was pure shit. So many bad designs this year. And, I really can't imagine girlicious becoming the
new fierce. That would be horrendous.

I don't get why they're ignoring Jennifer. Yeah, she's boring, but that bitch who finished third last year was so boring that I can't even
remember her name, and they CREAMED all over her... Jennifer makes great clothes from her portfolio to her grocery store paper towel dress to her
"green" cocktail dress.

I totally thought Kenley was getting the elimination edit - especially with her panic over the shopping and her model even making a comment about it. I was very surprised when I saw that her outfit was actually goodIt was great to see an early episode with so many fuck-ups - last season's had about five in a row all about straight-up obvious cannon-fodder being picked off with Elisa as a decoy. I completely forgot Jennifer existed even after watching the whole episode, which makes her officially the most invisible contestant of any show I've ever watched. I'm hoping a huge personality can get thrown out and overshadow her early-boot, Bonnie-style. |

I believe that was Jerell, and that he made earrings out of the peacock feathers. I just went to the Bravo site to look at "Rate the Runway" to make sure, and they have the designers misidentified for Jennifer's and Jerell's. Grrrr! IMO, those were the best and worst of the week, and for Jennifer to take the blame for Jerell's disaster and for him to get credit for her nice dress is just terrible! |

Shouldn't that be what the show is about? It's not America's best seamstress! No, the contestants should know how to sew. Every top designer knows how to sew. And it's not like they don't know that they have to sew their own garments before they come on the show. They know. His execution was shit, pure shit. And he had enough fabric. He just choose not to use anything but the brown silk. He is the only one responsible for his dress. He couldn't think outside the box. He also was just okay in the looks department, though from the waist up. Those chicken legs were too pale for the constant shorts wearing. I'm glad he left. He had the personality of a glass of milk. His quirky obession with shorts is the substitution for actually having a personality. ![]() ![]()
Kenley and Terri had the best designs last night. I liked the top part of Suede's dress, but I hate the ballerina tutu bottom. It ruined the dress for me. I understand why he won though. It was the only well executed, "fun" dress of the night. Fun usually equals youthful. My two favorites of the night were great but decidedly too mature/sophisticated. More young girls could pull off Suede's dress than Kenley's. For the most part most of the designers played it too safe. There were way too many baby doll dresses. Baby doll dresses are played out. But as long as the Hotness, Keith, is still in the game I really didn't care who went home at this point. And when are the designers going to listen to Tim Gunn? When Leanne disregarded his advice I thought for sure she'd be gone. Lucky for her she was only saved because Wesley's execution was a complete and utter trainwreck. Her dress may have had a lot of things going on but at least it didn't look like a couple of giants with arthritis sewed it together. |

Sugarrhill, I'm not trying to defend Wesley's dress. It was awful. I just didn't find it QUITE as offensive as Jerell's. Cheap tranny hookers
would refuse to wear Jerell's dress even if you paid them an week's salary to don it!

Yes, Jerrell's dress was awful, but at least well executed. I think we can all agree that if Wesley had executed his dress properly he would've been
middle of the pack. But the execution was so shitastic it couldn't be ignored. The judges, at this stage especially, always hammer away about execution.
The execution made the dress look even more horrible than it was supposed to look.

I don't get the Wesley love - he looked like some sort of drugged up mouth breather with chicken legs. Eeww.
Agree the designers need to listen to Tim Gunn - he nailed the problems with both Korto and Leanne's dresses. If I were Korto's model, I would have cried me a river putting on that sack. Made her boobies looke teeny and her ass look huge - never a good thing. Okay, while Kenley's dress was well done, I am SO over the puffy stand up collar on top of a snug sillhouette. Danny Boy did it a few seasons ago and the judges fell all over themselves about it - I think it's been done a couple other times too. Done. Over. Kaput. I liked Suede's dress just fine. I do not like Suede at all. That bi-sexual comment had me surprised too, but also figured he's gotta take whatever he can get, whenever and wherever he can get it. I'd keep my pets away from him. Jerrol's dress was Hookerlicious! I was disappointed in Kelli's contribution. I love Stella. I loved the exchange between Stella and Seattle's Coke Fiend. He was actually funny imitating her, but it was PRICELESS that he got caught doing it. His dress actually wasn't so bad. Stella's is Frederick's of Hollywood. Terri's dress was one of our favorites too. |

I totally get what you're saying. I just think that EVEN WITH DECENT EXECUTION, Jerell's was the worst. I would encourage my sister/friend/colleague to wear Wesley's dress before I'd encourage her to wear Jerell's. I think that by eliminating Wesley and having Jerell not even be in the bottom three, the message they are sending is that shitty design doesn't matter, as long as it's well-made. I think that is a terrible message! |

^^^Sorry it's worse to have no follow through. Wesley's creation looked like that Gordun Gartrell creation Vanessa Huxtable made for Theo on the
Cosby show. You couldn't see the design through the bad execution.

ShirleyYouJest wrote: I thought that was the most entertaining part of last night's ep....and I couldn't stand those two after last week. As for the winning dress, I figured it was going to be Suede once they narrow down the top three, because he took a chance, and it really wasn't that
bad...the tulle skirt I think made it better; had he done a dress entirely in the bas strips, it wouldn't have had the same affect and gotten him the win.

Stella is awesome! So glad she did well this week. Her confessionals are hilarious and yes, her banter with cokehead was the best part of the episode!
Everytime I hear her talk, I think of Fran Drescher.

sugarrhill wrote: sug, for a man that "knows fashion" I'm surprised you thought Wesley's dress was worse than Korto's. Not only did Korto make her model look huge but it also resembled a shreaded up mermaid torso. I think the top of Wesley's dress (not including the back) would of made a nicer shirt. With Korto's there was no way you could do anything about it. That was the worst dress of the night next to Jerrel. My Bottom 3 Jerrel Korto - Sent bitch home. Wesley I think Korto will be this season's btm 3 queen. ETA: I have a dress that looks just like that with a few color variations and its about the same length maybe a bit longer.

Second to Wesley's, Jerrell's hideocity was lowest scoring on rate the runway.
And Teri's blue dress is tied with Kenley's creation for top mark. While Suede's dress is far behind on Rate the Runway.
