Cute singing boy was good but I don't want to see any more singing acts. That's what AI is for damnit!

I completely agree, and I'm a bit bummed that the judges are still focusing on giving a million dollars to someone who's talent could earn the show money, like singers.
I did like the eighteen year old male singer (My Cherie Amour) and the generously-sized music teacher (whose name escapes me, Michael? SomethinghyphenSomething?) But my fave so far is the fragile Chinese plate spinner. Good singers abound, but how many people across the world can do what she does? Was her name Lee Ang? She was phenomenal. I hope I don't find out she's fake and from Beachers Madhouse, or whatever the name of that place is. Okay, I still think the ginormous Russian drag queen was a hoot, but having too many of the OTT performers gets boring. This show should be about finding rare and entertaining (but not circus acts) talent--not about giving a million to people because they're too young or old to be a contestant on American Idol. Almost forgot--even though we have dogs, I really liked the trained kitties. I've never seen cats trained before. I suppose it is possible because you can train their relatives, like lions and tigers. Seemed like the cats were winking at us saying, "We're not actually trained, we're just doing this for fun to make you THINK we're trained." |

LOL about the kitties. That's what I was thinking. Those cats were just being cats. Cute but still just cats.
Anyone else noticing how many of these acts are performed by people from other countries? It's almost like America has no really great acrobats or contortionists. They all seem to come from Yugoslavia, Russia or China. We need to offer courses in those things in our elementary schools I guess. |

Cinda wins, the end! They are already shoving her down our throats like they did with Bianca last season. The way the show is formated, there isn't much room for an upset. I liked her, I thought she was amazing. She's a star.
It's so obvious it's going to be a singer that wins. |

They let singers through even if they're not very good but if they're a plate twirler, nope.
I like the weird acts |

Angsty plate twirler made it through.

Sorry, but Augustus Gloop was NOT that good. He changed keys about 37 times in 90 seconds.
The only reason that prick Hasselhoff said that was "one of the hardest parts in the world to sing" was because he played that role on Broadway a few years ago to extremely poor reviews. |

The only act I liked was pogostick guy. And they didn't put him through. This show blows.

Didn't watch it.
Doesn't look like I missed much. I'll wait for the youtube story when a contestant (or their mom) pummels Piers. |

I loved the pogostick guy. And Granny was funny, but overall, I didn't find many of the acts that entertaining last night. I want to see someone wins who does something I can't do. Now by no means can I sing great or do quality stand up, but I can physically do both of them. And there are already shows for both of those talents, so I wish this show was for the unique and strange acts. Or even someone who plays guitar and sings would be refreshing. Although, I'd be willing to watch a whole season of "guy with a guitar".

Singers should be banned from this show.

I agree too many singers make it too much like Idol. But OTOH, some of these acrobats might have limited reportoires, Like the fahter /son acrobats from last week, I get bored watching them balance on each other, the scope of the act is small & will get repetitive. Same with spining head & plate lady.

But what about bands? There's really only venues for solo performers, but not bands.
I liked the plate spinning asian lady & the group of 15 yr olds called Johnny Come Lately. The cats were cute. |

they should only allow singers that write their own stuff...sick of the people that are basicly just impersonators of know singers/songs

That band of 15 year olds looked great but didn't impress me with their rendition of an old Elvis tune. They needed to do something more in tune with their look.

This season is very dissapointing so far. The only five performances I see going very far are Jabberwockeez (the white-masked group), Johnny Come Lately (15-year-old band), Country Girl (The Three Black Singers), the plate-spinning Chinese woman, and the father-son acrobatic group. I fear that Country Girl, plate-spinner, and the acrobats are going to end up like Quick Change; doing the same exact thing over and over.
