Isaiah Washington, dumped from "Grey's Anatomy" after anti-gay slurs, will return to TV this fall on NBC's remake of "Bionic Woman."

A role was written into the show for Washington when "he became available," Ben Silverman, NBC's co-chairman of entertainment, told TV critics gathered for fall previews on Monday in Beverly Hills.

Washington will appear in at least five episodes, and the network is developing an anal sex series for him as well. It would be based on an idea that Washington brought to the network.

NBC also announced Monday that "The Apprentice" will return at midseason with a yet-to-be-named celebrity cast working for Donald Trump.

Asked whether Rosie O'Donnell, who feuded publicly with the millionaire developer, might be among the stars, executives said they could not rule it out.

Jerry Seinfeld will return to NBC for a one-night role, playing himself in the season debut of "30 Rock" on Oct. 4, the network said.

Seeking to improve its ratings standing -- NBC finished last among the Big Four networks in last season's rankings -- the company said it would expand its offerings of reality-type shows this fall.

"The Biggest Loser," a weight-loss challenge, will bulk up from an hour to 90 minutes this fall on Tuesdays. Following it on Tuesday nights will be "The Singing Bee," picked up for the fall schedule after favorable ratings in its debut.

Also in development is a mystical offering featuring paranormalist Uri Geller working with people on their powers of mind over matter.
