I hope McSteamy comes back, and not just cause hes damn hot. They totally underutilized him, and I hope he gets more of a part next season.
With Addison definitely leaving and Burke probably leaving, I think McSteamy will stick around. Thats two major characters right there, and McSteamy can help fill the void. I don't get why we didn't get closure with Addison? Did they not know if her show was definitely going to get approved or something? Hopefully Grey's can get her to do the premiere next season just so we have some closure with her. |

Georges future! | ||

I think there was a little forshadowing going on for Geargee when he was talking to Bailey in the end. I feel that he will become a paramedic instead of repeating his internship. That will add a whole new demension to the character and the show and then he will not have to serve under Callie. Think about it, there are currently no lead characters that serve as a Medic.

For AI2old2b1:
At the wedding, Christina's in the vestibule in the back with the bridesmaids. She's locked and loaded in the dress and the Burke family choker (heavy symbolism much?), and her eyebrows have been drawn on by someone with a steady hand and a good eye. Then she realizes that earlier, when Bailey finally let her "cut someone," she scrubbed off the wedding vows that Callie had written so painstakingly on her hand for her and she panics. Can't move. Won't move. Refuses to enter the sanctuary. Meanwhile, down at the altar, McD, the best man, is all long-faced over his earlier convo with Mer and Burke asks him what's the matter and McD says he doesn't think he and Mer are gonna make it. But this is Burke's day, he says. Cut to the pews, where Alex slides in to sit next to Addison. She makes (tired) conversation by asking where do you sit when you know both the bride and the groom and Alex says he looks to sit beside the hottest woman there. Oh yes. But Addie refuses the bait and basically asks him why tf isn't he pursuing twue wuv because we each only get a few bites out of that apple, if any at all. He's all: She's Rebecca, not Eva. And she's all: She'll always be Eva to you. And so he's all: D'oh! You're right! And he leaves to race back to the hospital. Hmm. I'm not sure if the George scene was in all this. If so: Cut to the hospital where George is wandering around dejectedly. He's skipping the wedding because all he can think about is how he failed the surgical exam. He runs into Bailey who's also in a funk over losing the chief rez position to Callie. They sit down together on a bench and stare. She comes out of her stupor and says, Did I fail you, George? And he says: No. I failed you. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I mean, the vestibule, Christina tells Meredith to talk to her the way she (Christina) would if it was Meredith having the wedding-day meltdown and Meredith does a very creditable rendition: Stop whining! Get down that aisle! Now! (along those lines) That does it. Christina's fine, ready to go. As this has been going on, though, the natives inside the sanctuary have been getting restless and Burke decides to take a walk -- up the aisle, to see what's happening. He comes into the vestibule before the girls can leave. Christina assures him that she's fine, she had a minor meltdown but now she's snapped out of it and she's fine, she's ready to get married. But Burke goes all melancholy gotta-be-real on her and tells her that he knows she didn't want all this or even to get married and that he pushed herr into it. And she's all enthusiastically: I really think I want to do this! And he's all: I wish you knew you wanted to do this. And poof, that's it. Mer does some kinda cool-jock slouchy walk down the aisle to the front of the church where, with McD in the background looking on, she looks out at everyone else and says: Go home. It's over. It's so over. The last seems clearly aimed at McD as well: See ya, baybee. Then she slouches off into the sunset or somesuch. |

Regarding McSteamy, I honestly thought he should have been the one to get the spin-off. Because as good as the cast is, he's the only one I could see headline his own show, and I'm sorry but that Private Practice "back-door pilot" sucked ass!

Quote: I guess men and women who've been in that situation (or similar) can understand truly loving someone and "wanting" to be with them but also feeling trapped or so restricted that you lose a piece of yourself. Relieved to have no pressure on you, hurt that you lost someone who you loved, but scared to not know what's going on next in your life. Imagine THOSE feelings plus the stress of being an intern or trying to get your career jump started.... it's easy to see why she freaked out with 35 emotions. |

George is a doctor, I can't see him becoming a paramedic.
Quote: I think if he comes back, he maybe does go back through the progam. The line that's getting me is when Lexi calls him Doctor, he says "My name is George". Either it means that he is her equal and planning on going through the program again, or maybe he is going quit medicine. And Callie (and Izzy) don't know he's failed. Will it change anyone's feelings for him? |

Re: no baby storyline | ||
Quote: He may not be able to make it as a surgeon, but becoming a paramedic still seems like a significant step down. (Then again, Addison is going from one of the top neo natal surgeon to an OBGYN) (And yeah, they didn't know if Addison's show was going to be picked up when they wrote it) |

I would love to see Izzy kicked in the twat and sent home - off the show. What is her purpose?

I hate Izzie but I don't want to see her off the show. I just want Callie to rip her a new one, and George for that matter because he cheated on her too. It would just suck if she didn't find out about Izzie and George and what really went on until after she gets knocked up.

So, I guess I'm the only one a bit underwhelmed by the finale? It didn't suck or anything, but I didn't think it was anything spectacular either. There were definitely some great scenes, but so much sameold same old. Meredith thinks the world revolves around her (I can only stay with Derrick if Christina gets married? WTF is that?), Izzy won't leave George alone, Alex decides he wants to be with amnesia girl (Wow, an intern and a patient, how groundbreaking for this show. SO GLAD she was gone), blahblahblah. And if Derrick hooks up with Lexi, it will be so incredibly lame and unoriginal and cliche....ugh.

Re: no baby storyline | ||

Thank YOU everyone for wondering what the hell Christina was feeling also; I looked at my hubby and said WTF? She said I'm free, got all suffocated in her choker and dress then was hysterical. Is she crying in hysterics b/c she is now free or crying in hysterics because she said I'm free and realized what that really meant and is now unhappy because she is free?
That gave me a headache. So I've come to the conclusion that she had the realization she was *finally* free but when that hit her she became hysterical realizing the price she paid for wanting to be free and now having her freedom. The dress/choker thing got me a bit confused b/c when Carrie did it in SITC, she wanted the damn thing off b/c she also felt suffocated and didn't want to get married but then she also didn't start bawling hysterically and that is where I was like huh??? Oh and I'm soooooooo waiting for the cliche to happen that Callie DOESN'T get pregnant but lookie lookie Izzy does I get Bailey didn't get the job b/c the Chief didn't think with her life at home it would be good for her b/c she has a child? Ironic that Callie wants one though. McDickey and Mereditz - a message to you (or should I say the writers?) EITHER LET THEM STAY TOGETHER AND BE HAPPY OR JUST SPLIT THEM HELL UP AND BE DONE AND OVER, I'm sick of this crap, it's old now. I got the impression that when George said to Lexi that he was George is that by failing he didn't feel like he *earned* the right to be called doctor? Who knows. |

Quote: I think it's going to be the traditional "Callie finds out about Izzy, realizes that she can't compete because George really loves Izzie, and lies about her pregnancy (because there will be something wrong with her va jay jay) in order to keep a hold on George." |
