Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	P'haha, Here's your first pick winner for 3.0 the "tiny Asian Chick's" website. http://www.maureenfrancisco.com/ I still contend that there were less "mactors" on Season one than on 2.0 and 3.0 combined! ROBROB is still my early pick... but I haven't really study the footage or given it too much thought. I'm just glad I didn't have to sit on spikes or clamp metal clips to parts of my body.... but I'd do it and NOT QUIT EVER!!!!

Ohhhh, #7v1.0, things have gotten much more difficult than when you were on the show. I guarentee that if you got on the show again, you would quit multiple times. Maybe not the first one to quit, but never-the-less, you would be quitting. VAL would purposely wait until you quit even if you were the last one left. :-) I would love to see you on the show again.

Posts: 7358 (12/31/08 5:12 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The thing I liked most about the Season 1 cast is that I liked all of them and would have been happy with any one of them winning - I wasn't a fan of Taralee at all, since she was the only one who seemed to come on for exposure alone, but then she won me over with her lint-counting strategy at the end of the premiere. This season I like everyone except Number 5 because I need to counter Sucks' well-known pro-Asian-chick bias and the fact her website crashed my browser. Though she will probably win me around too unless she does a Kim (though even Kim was good, since she kept Leroy around for another episode). I'm less worried about the mactors than the number of people with business degrees, which makes me worry they won't be as interestingly introspective - I always prefer watching the lost souls or the more spiritual players than the more robotic players who treat it like an Apprentice task. Nothing but nothing will ever top 2.0's #3 the masochist, however. X. Especially because she sent me an email thanking me for supporting her <3

Posts: 755 (12/31/08 10:22 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The first season is my fave, as of now, because it was the original and the contestants didn't have any clue what to expect (always the best thing to see) and as others said here, the contestants were basically really likable and easy to root for. I was rooting for #7 (Steven) from the beginning, because he was close to my age (read, not an immature tool) and I liked his personality. Taralee quickly grew on me & Mark rounded out a great F3. 2.0 definitely had tougher treatments compared to 1.0, but I was not a fan of Val's new voice and I wasn't a fan of many of the contestants. Masochist annoyed me to no end. I could have liked her, but her OTT personality was just too much. I couldn 't stand John when he was on Survivor & did enjoy seeing the other contestants gang up on him throughout the season. He was less of a tool than he was on Survivor, but not one I would root for. Phu grew on me as the season went along & I was rooting for him as the underdog, but I liked Tyler too. The season was definitely entertaining, but there was no one or more contestants that I was REALLY pulling for. Just based on looks & short bios I am picking Maureen "teensy Asian girl" and RobRob. Maureen, because she's cute & hoping she might represent for the ladies and pull out a win. RobRob, because he's not a "mactor," is a Solitary fan & someone around my age and relatable as a fellow "workaholic." The fact that he is posting here definitely makes him worth rooting for, too. ;-) My opinions are subject to change once the first episode airs and I can see these people in action and get a better sense of who they are. 17 days 9 hours 39 mins . . . CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Yes, I know 2.0 did start to ramp it up and there were less expamples of VAL letting a contestant feel the pride of outlasting, but even VAL gets bored of watching the Treatments drag on. I do give 2.0 and 3.0 props for the intensity/extremeness of the new Treatments/Test... but remember you only have yourself to blame! I would have loved to seen how well I could have handle the pure endurance ones. I enjoyed testing the Grump Rope and the Dummy Dancing. Mentally, I would say that THE ONLY WAY to guarantee staying in Solitary is winning the TEST or not quitting the Treatment. Other than your body giving up ala puking or missing penalty rounds... you would just kick yourself for not at least trying to complete the Treatment round, but instead hitting the red button hoping/thinking someone else quit first. Remember my MANTRA which helps in life as well. Don't give up. Stay focused. Have fun. Be a good testimony. I've learned that you can't control circumstances, you can't control others, but you can change your attitude and your actions! Happy New Year to everyone on the boards... posters and readers and even lurkers! May 2009 bring us all more peace and hope not just in "REALITY (TV)" but in reality. The new ones will most likely end up there also. I've heard the premier episode will be available on iTunes for free one week before the premier happens on TV. But it's only free before the premier. After that it will cost $1.99.
