I thought of Wicked instantly but then I would never even make it on the show so I'm not one to brag.
This guy has already locked up next year's TOC but I hope he last a while too. I like him. |

Why oh WHY couldn't Joe have won?
He was HOT! They should have taken ALL of the champions money away for "What is Rent?" 
That's a horrible guess. Did he think that was better than "What is ?" A 5-year anniversary in 2008, the colour green......what about those clues made him think it might be Rent?????????? Joe is a horrible dancer though: http://www.sonypictures.com/tv/shows/jeopardy/showguide_thisweek.php

So did the second-place lady today just screw up her math? Or was she trying to pull off some tricky upset and predict the other wagers? I feel bad for her

first of all, I guessed Rocky Graziano(because his movie was Somebody up there likes me) it was Brando for I could have been somebodfy
but, best of all was the leader doing crappy math... current champ had $14600: bet 6000=20600 leader had 14700: bet 3501=19201 LOSER

Do the losers get to keep their money? Was a time when only the winner kept the money. That made the producers happy. 1. At the end, the ones behind would bet
their whole wad, making for an exciting finish. 2. They didn't have to shell out money to the losers.

No they don't keep the money. 3rd gets $2000, 2nd gets $3000 if I remember correctly.

I thought 2nd got $5,000 and 3rd got $1,000 but I don't know where I got that from--it's probably wrong.

I'm sure this had to of happened but what if 1st and 2nd place had less than the prize for 2nd place. 2nd place would then collect more money even though
they didn't win? That would suck especially if you didn't win the next day.

I would doubt that has ever happened, but it is possible. That would be something. Maybe there is a minimum prize for 1st place. |

Second place automatically gets $2,000 regardless of whether they finish the game with $1 total or say with $30,000 when the winner has $30,001. Same for third
place, they automatically get $1,000.
And it has happened before where the winner finished with $1 and the other two contestants both had $0. On the following show, the winner was introduced as a one-time defending champ with $1 in total winnings: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=2622 |

They have stats for all this on the net. Wiki alone has a ton of info about ties, prize amounts, records etc. |

I figured it had to of happened once in the shows like 100 year history. Sucks for the winner, they woulda won more if they didn't bet anything <3. Then
again they would get prize money for finishing 2nd or 3rd, plus the $1. The only way you would end up with less is if you finish third, rather than 2nd.
