It was either that or we find out Mike is President of the US (after absorbing Candice's shapeshifting powers).

Since they are flashforwarding five years, I just hope we get to see some old faces show back up. I'd love to see Felicia Tillman come out of hiding.
She's one of the best characters on!

Lost?? WTF!?!? I do not watch sub par television. I do not understand. Therefore, I cannot comment.

Is there a thread to discuss submission choices for the upcoming primetime Emmys?

So, I spent most of my Sunday watching season 1 episodes of this brilliant show. How I miss the ingenuity and freshness this show once had. Everything seemed
to fall into place just brilliantly. The storylines were paced perfectly.
Anywho, so, as I was watching episode 1.12 (Everyday A Little Death) I remembered a question that had crossed my mind many times before...since Felicia's departure right before the season 2 finale, in fact! She and Susan had an exchange in Martha Hubers front yard at night. I copied & pasted the dialouge below: [Susan walks over to Mrs. Huber's house, where Felicia is carrying boxes to the curb.]
Susan: "Hi. Mrs. Mayer. I saw you from across the street. I thought you might need a hand."
Felicia: "No, thanks." Susan: "I, I'm sorry for what happened. It must be really hard, not knowing who did it, or why. You must feel helpless." Felicia: "A bit. I'm hoping her journals will provide some insight." Susan: "Journals?" Felicia: "Yes, Martha kept them for years." Susan: "Oh. So, she must have written a lot of things in them?" Felicia: "Every mundane detail of her life. And everyone else's, for that matter. The police want to see them, but I'm stalling them 'til I have a chance to read through them first myself. wouldn't want any embarrassing family secrets getting out." Susan: "That's smart, that, that's good." Felicia turns away.
Susan: "That's good to hear."
[She turns and leaves.] So, I was wondering if Felicia ever got a chance to read through all of those journals. If she did, I'm sure should came across some family/neighborhood secrets that Martha happened to observe and jot down in her journals. Remember: Felicia clearly stated that Martha wrote down "every mundane detail of her life...and everyone else's, for that matter." Felicia's been gone for the past 2 seasons (so...that's like at least 5 or 6 years at this point seeing as that the series is jumping ahead 5 years when season 5 starts...and between season 2 & 3 there was a 6 month skip forward). Anyway, if Felicia happened to take those journals with her up to those mountains, I'm sure she'd have had the time to read through each of those journals and coming across much dirt that Martha observed during her life on Wisteria Lane. If Marc and the writers are clever, they'll find a way to bring her back and have her create chaos and drama on the lane. It would be FANTASTIC! Though, I feel that I may be giving them a lil' too much credit for even thinking something like this. Am I the only one who's thought of this? Just wondering. Its a thought that has crossed my mind many times since she left at the end of season 2. And everytime they brought Paul back during season 3 I couldn't help but wonder if they were going to bring her back. She was quite the character. So, yeah. I miss the originality and innovation of the first season. And season 2 wasn't nearly as bad as the critics made it out to be. It was pretty
solid (for the most part) just a little slow moving. Though, the storylines at the end of the season almost made up for the rest of the season.
End of transmission before I continue rambling on about the show's glory days.

I would love to see Felicia back, that would be a great storyline.
Anyways apparenty TV Guide wrote a little about the new seasons upcoming mystey. I put it in spoilers, just in case, really doesn't spoil anything or give anything away. |

I'd love for Felicia to come back, she is so wonderful. I am always so happy when I fall upon her in a tv show on dvd (The Eve Episode in X-Files, a
Millenium group member in Millenium). That would be a great way to bring her back in Surge. Plus I'd always like for them to tell us why Bree got the way
that she is. They noted something I think in the pilot about how she wasn't always like she is now but they didn't really touch on it.
First season is amazing, plan to go back through it when I get the time. |

It's possible Felicia could make a return. Harriet Harris was in Cry-Baby on Broadway and it closed today, so she's now unemployed. Of course, if
Cherry and co. wrote the upcoming season's scripts thinking she'd be unavailable, then it doesn't make much of a difference.

Plus I'd always like for them to tell us why Bree got the way that she is. They noted something I think in the pilot about how she wasn't always like she is now but they didn't really touch on it. Didn't they say she got that way because of her mother? Something about scrubbing the blood out of the street? And her scrubbing Mary Alice's blood on the floor? It's sort of a blur to me but those things came to my mind. |

Fluffynurse wrote: True. They did touch on it but I don't think thats the reason why she became the anal-retentive Martha Stewart on steroids domestic Goddess that we all
know and love. If that was the reason, she'd have been that way when Rex first met her. She became that way at some point in their marriage...at some point
when the kids came along.
Remember, when Rex first fell in love with her she used to "burn the toast and drink milk out of the carton." I kind of have a feeling that since she lost her mother at a young age, she was probably clueless/lost at how to be a good mother to her own children. She probably tried being the perfect mother to her own children by mimicking someone she perhaps thought gave the appearance of being the perfect wife & mother. Perhaps someone like June Cleaver? I don't know. That's just my theory. But, I really wish they would touch on that at some point. Marc Cherry even pointed that out and how that scene really resonated with the viewers. He mentions this in the commentary on the season 1 dvd. So, yeah. That's just my 2 cents. I should write for this show, dammit!

Wisteria Lane just got a new local to contend with next season. Traveler and Boomtown alum Neal McDonough has been cast as a Desperate Housewives series regular, Michael Ausiello reports.
The deets on McDonough's character and story arc are tough to come by, but there is one detail that should spark some theorizing: He'll be playing one of the Housewives' new love interests (the Reporter's calling out Nicollette Sheridan's Edie Britt). |

Neal McDonough is moving to Wisteria Lane.
The "Boomtown" alumnus has joined the ABC dramedy as a regular next season. He will play a new white-collar resident who may cross romantic paths with Edie Britt (Nicolette Sheridan). McDonough is the second new addition to the cast of "Desperate Housewives" next season, along with Gale Harold, who will recur as Ken, the mysterious man kissing Susan Meyer (Teri Hatcher) is the final flash-forward scene of this past season. McDonough's TV credits also include series "Medical Investigation" and "Traveler" and mini "Tin Man." He is repped by WMA and Luber Roklin. |
