I have a friend whose father looked a lot like him. Spoiler [+] James Denton also confirmed the time thing, he said that they were moving forward or backwards 5 years. Backwards wouldn't make much sense, since that would take us to right before the series started. He also said pretty much the only people that are definitely going to be back are the main women, and nobody else knows what their fate is at this point. So maybe there will be no more Mike. The only way I'd agree to something like that is if Bree (or maybe Kat) were allowed to jam a knife through her chest (killing her), hack her body into tiny bits and serve it in some sort of New Orleans-style gumbo and serve it at the next neighborhood watch meeting.

Her parts of the show are like those old After-School Specials, where, after acting like a self-absorbed uber-bitch, she learns a little lesson that makes her a slightly better human being. The "Is Tom an Arsonist?" twist is absurd. If they use Lynnette's doubt in Tom as the motivation to break her marriage vows with Rick, it'll ruin both their characters. Katherine's altruism was unexpected, as was Orson's somnambulist confession. Unfortunately, it's already obvious who's the hand behind the circled photo in the newspaper. Hopefully, there still will be an unpredictable twist in the big mystery before the season wraps up. At least we got to see Andrew. Does Bree even remember she has a gay son?
