I don't read DH spoilers. Is it a for sure thing that Mike is Dave's target? I know it's someone in the band and Dave said something about saving Mike because he wasn't done with him yet.. but is it possible that line was misdirection and it's not Mike? eta - thanks croakrqueen. At first I was certain it was Mike but I then thought: the producers wouldn't make it THAT easy! I'm sensing a Carlos twist... he gains his vision and eventually realizes that he "knows" Dave from somewhere but can't put his finger on it since he's just regaring his sight. I mean wouldn't the other guys who HAVE sight recognize Dave in some way unless it's one of those "Dave is seeking revenge for his long lost child or former lover" scenarios? Plus, when did CARLOS randomly get placed in the band?!?!? Dave is obviously using a fake name so there's no reason for him to be suspcious if Carlos can't "see" him and Carlos does not recognize the fake name.

I remember because he was sitting there with a tambourine and it was cracking me up that the poor blind guy gets stuck with the crappy instrument. Why not just give him a cowbell or a triangle?

I shall keep a mental note of this. I found it somewhat sad that Julie has given up on marriage because of her mom's failed relationships. I'm glad she had enough sense to not marry her former professor but dayum Susan fucked her up. Looks like Ms. McCluskey and her sister are about to stumble on some good shit! I'm thinking that the sister (Lily Tomlin) is going to fall vicitim to Dave's psychotics. I like Lynette's storyline... even though it's a Gabby/John redux with a twist it's still very interesting. Have we seen the new Penny and the son who is not a twin yet? They are totally getting the shaft. Did the writer of Bree's article make it out alive? If he was such a hardcore bitch, I don't buy her going to Orson's band and then suddenly feeling sorry for Bree's backstory.

Let him have a different kind of storyline for a change. Good to hear I'm not the only one not convinced by that one line that's it Mike AGAIN. Very interesting theory re: Carlos. That was my thought too.. the whole episode was misdirection. Julie saying "no", bat-shit crazy granny NOT dying, and the fire wasn't as big as the supermarket episode. I can bet his line was meant that he has more use for Mike in his screwed up plans. I also like Mike and Susan together better then apart. Mike is definite eye candy :) Also, I thought wife beater husband was hot when I saw him in one of the first series he was in: Cop Rock. (God, am I old.) I still think he's hot, but he always plays a bastard lately. His name is Peter Onorati.

I think sadly the person Dave is after will definitely be Mike. Remember back in season 1 Mike served a prison term for killing some cop who beat up or raped Dedire. Yeah that cop is Dave's brother. I have no doubt about this at all. I still enjoy the hell out of this show though.

But I totally disagree with those that say this episode was just ok. And in response to why Wife Beater hubby isn't in jail: I don't think Lynette ever actually called the police. She took Ann to the hospital but I don't think she called the police after hubby made the comment about her trying to explain away her statutory rape of Porter. I don't think it's Mike at all. I convinced that was all misdirection and as others said, Dave just needs Mike to get to who he's really after.

However, they did show the doctor looking at the names of the band, specifically Dave and Mike's name together, before he asked Dave about "him" being in the band with Dave. It would be a much better mystery if it were Carlos, though.

This will all be part of the case against him. But the friend is really a non-character. If they were going down to get into his reaction, I think they should have established him a little.

I think the Carlos vision thing is the best bet with what we know right now. Despite the fact that we've basically been told that Mike must have killed Dave's brother, I doubt that's who he's after and why. Maybe he wants Mike's help to get his guy after hearing about Mike's shady past from Edie. He probably grilled her on everyone's backstory before moving there.
