With all the talk of her will and her death, and her saying she'll change the will in the morning, it seemed inevitable that she was going to die, and we'd have rich Gaby again. To have Gaby save her at the last second was a really nice twist.

I thought that too, but I'm wondering if they're going to start the new episode in 2 WEEKS (boo!) with them saying she died due to injuries sustained in the fire.

Gabby proved her sincerity in standing up for her daughters and by going to save Grandma crazy... that's basically what the old bat was looking for... someone to love and care about her... after all that's what "family" does as she indicated in the beginning of the episode. Fam can blow up at each other but they are still family.

It was also a bit of a rerun as the catalyst for both the supermarket hostage situation and (assumed by the characters) the fire involved a spouse of the owner of the establishment and an extramarital affair.Why the fuck wasn't the husband arrested after Lynette called 911 to have Porter's babymama taken to the hospital? And, of course, it's Mike who's the object of Dave's ire. It would have been better to have Mike die in the fire and have Orson be the target. Loved, loved, loved the reporter, and Lee the gaybor was the highlight of the show with his S&M hooker comment. "And you wonder why we never get any invitations." The only real surprises - that Ruth Fisher survived and nobody that we cared about died. Not exactly earth-shaking.

Loved the episode, happy Dave did start the fire and not Porter...when he killed the doctor, all I could think about was that I hoped he'd get away with it, lol.
