1. Spoilers
Any thread that contains a spoiler MUST include "SPOILER" in the title, and the title may NOT include any specifics about the spoiler. Any information revealed in such threads may NOT be posted anywhere else in the forum, out of courtesy for the majority of viewers who do not wish to be spoiled.
A "spoiler" is a report of a specific future event obtained from either inside sources or by viewing an episode before its regular East coast airtime (as is sometimes the case with parts of Canada). Most rumors reported in the media are acceptable, as they are usually nonspecific ("another character will die before the end of the season"), unless the media itself treats it as a spoiler.
Fake spoilers are subject to the traditional Sucks punishment of IP banishment.
All the same, those who do not wish to be spoiled should still view this forum at their own risk.
2. Episodes
Each episode will have its own discussion thread to focus all general comments. Though these threads may be started before the episode airs (for speculation of the title's meaning, etc.), feedback from the actual show cannot commence until it airs on the US East coast. Those who saw the episode early may not discuss events until they have aired at the normal time.
3. Characters
There are two kinds of internet Lost fans: the gung-ho detective types, and the starstruck sex-starved nutjobs. This forum serves only the former. While it would be an excellent idea to have one thread for each character to focus discussion and speculation, these threads will not serve as lightning rods for "omg did u see jack with his shirt off" crap. Get a fucking boyfriend and take your fantasies to Clubs.
4. Theories
There will be a Grand Unifying Theory thread that will serve as the lightning rod for throwaway ideas. If you think that they're in Purgatory and feel like you have to post it, post it in the GUT thread. If you think Locke is an Other, post it in the GUT thread, or in Locke's thread.
However, if you've got one of those long-winded 2000-word Tapewatcher theories complete with vidcaps and Oersted references, it might be of better use in its own thread.
5. Links
Links made directly to a relevant article/interview, a relevant fake website built around whatever corporation was briefly mentioned this week, or the official ABC websites are permitted. All other links are verboten.
6. Attitude
Lost is a very good show. Just remember that this is still Sucks. It's our duty to point out the cracks, ridicule the actors, and complain complain complain. So don't forget the captions, the photochops, the Things Smarter than Jack, and the newbie-flaming. The Mole graphics are still there and we can put them back up any time.
