Sure that would be Jack's baby? Why the hell would any woman lie and say she was seeing someone else and make herself look bad?
If she wanted to leave him, she had more than enough justification to jet without making up shit. But you might be right, KF2. I never really thought about it. I've always had this weird scenario in my head that she was doing Jack's dad (or maybe even someone he doesn't know but WE do.. that connections thing) and that's why he's so hesitant to let anyone close to him.. and why he's a bit of a jackass at times. Still my favorite Jackass though. |

tarzan groupie! Long time no see. The poker scenes were great. Nice to see Jack get his balls back and outta the hatch for a change. Xianne - Glad I'm not the only one whose first thought was Dad. Might have been Christian telling Jack that a lot of people are capable of letting the pecker rule the brain, but he's (Jack) not one of them... and he needed to go home to his wife. (paraphrased) Foreshadowing or just reading too much into a line.... Maybe Christian knew Sarah was leaving? |

There was also that scene of Jack and his mother when she told him to bring him home. It just seemed strange to me. There's definitely more to this story but I'm thinking it's going to be back-burned until next season.

I too thought the scene with his mother was odd. Why couldn't she fly over and get him? Its easy to suspect that she wanted to maybe help Jack get some closure with his dad, but i doubt it's that simple. Its gettin' a little hot on these back burners.

Guess it's ok to post "Kate is so hot I'd fart in her mouth", but let's not get tingly over Jack. We risk getting moved to clubs. Pfffffffft. I hadn't given much thought to Jack's mom sending him to Australia to fetch Christian. I assumed it was because she wanted him to make amends after turning his dad in for operating under the influence. Maybe Mom was doing Marvin and he used his tie and prosthetic arm to seduce her into sending her son to hell island. :D |

Jack's a very intriguing character. (actually I find them all to be)...but to begin with he was definitely the natural one to take charge because of all the injuries from the crash. He was reluctant to be in charge until Locke gave him a pep talk, which perplexes me this season, because they are making it out like Jack and Locke are struggling against each other for authority. Jack didn't want it...Locke talked him into it... now Locke gets angry because Jack tells him what to do or makes decisions without him.
I do believe there is ALOT more to Jack's story...just as some of you have been saying here. His Mother, his Wife, his tatooes etc. :)Peggy |

Every time the possibility of Jack's dad being still alive gets mentioned, it bothers me. Jack saw him - identified him - in the morgue in Oz. Jack is a physician; he would not be easily fooled about a body being dead or not, would he?
