Sulphur is associated with artesian wells and volcanic activity. Those can be exclusive btw. So it leaves the fate of the island itself as either volcanic or not. artesian wells will be the last refuge for people caught in exteme circumstances not wanting contamination from anything either man made or natural.

Like Godwin? If he (Eko) WAS on the plane what were the odds he ends up on the same island as where his brother's plane crashed. That is an unbelievable coincidence.

So many unanswered questions:

1-Kate, like Jack, landed apart from the other survivors but we never saw where. She just ambles out of the forest and meets Jack? Where did she come from? Where did she first regain consciousness in the jungle?

2. Who are Adam and Eve?

3. Where has Kate's horse disappeared to?

4. How did the Black Rock get so far inland?

5. What really happened to Dannielle's co-survivors?

6. What cured Locke and Jin of their afflictions?

7. How did Locke get crippled in the first place?

8. What is happening to all the children the Others have taken?

9. Why did they desert the caves?

10. What are they all not clamoring to get into the hatch for showers and a real bed, washed clothes, etc?

11. Why all this apathy?

12. The huge bird the flew off sqawking "Hurrly" after their trek to the Black Rock - what was it?

13. What is the smoke monster? Is it Cerberus? Why is it named after a 3 headed dog that guards the gate to Hades? (not hell, so much, in Greek mythology)

14. And the Grandaddy > What do the numbers mean???

15. Why do they have to enter a code every few hours? Just what will happen if the don;t?

16. That black light schematic that appeared during lock down. Why is it hidden like that? Who wrote all those notes on it? Nevermind all these big corporations now involved.......

Which is not to say there aren't a lot MORE unanswered questions. Like what makes Walt special, why isn't Locke passionately going after him like Michael since they were so close. Will this story line just fade away unanswered? How did Walt get to a computer to talk to his dad? Why did his appearances in the jungle almost look holographic? Oh man there is just tooooooo much to think about. It makes my head hurt.


eta: Vincent. Just what is Vincent's role??? He's now lost his 3 major caretakers - Walt, Shannon and a sort of Michael. That's just plain sad to me. Who's loving Vincent right now??
