Where does Sayid recognize the bracelet from? It makes sense for him to recognize that Elsa had the same one as Naomi, but why did he look at Naomi's like
it was familiar to him? Like he saw it before the island or something?
Maybe Naomi's bracelet reminded him of Elsa's and Elsa's bracelet reminded him of Naomi's....................... |

A related question: Why was Sayid so visibly moved by seeing Naomi's body? She's been dead for a day at least, why did her death affect him so much?
He barely knew her. Or did he????
And why the heck hadn't someone closed her eyes before then? That was just yucky. |

And would it even be possible to close her eyes after two or three days of rigor? Nasty.Oh sure. The muscles go into rigor for about 72 hours but then the body is pliable again. So how much time had passed from the time Naomi died until the time Sayid closed her eyes? If Kate didn't close them immediately after she died, maybe Naomi went into rigor and they *couldn't* close them but then Sayid got there at the right moment? I don't know. |

Why is everyone convinced this picture was taken at airport security? I don't see anything in this picture that screams "airport" to me...but I'm kinda dense...I originally wrote that because it looks (to me at least) that Ben's going thru security at an airport & is in front one of those xray machines - the black area is where the bags go through, the unplugged monitor to view the scans and the vertical walls/areas (?) look like the metal detector you walk thru. Why does Miles want exactly $3.2 million?? (and why did Locke not react or ask any questions when he was told this?)
Why do the freighties act like amateurs instead of professionals? Frank is a drunk, Daniel is nuts/borderline autistic & Miles has serious anger issues (Charlotte?). Are we supposed to believe that these were the best-available people hand-picked by an all-powerful guy/corporation on a very important mission to the island and to apparently capture Ben? Miles even said that he knew "what Ben was capable of" - if he is considered important and very dangerous, they would have sent an army, not these people? |

My question - Why were the 4 freighties chosen to go? They're not experts - as the Brittish chic says - Leads me to believe they were associated with the
island - Maybe been there before?? Ideas?

I'm thinking they have special abilities -- like clairvoyance, telekinesis, etc. -- that allows them to "interact" with the island.
