Posts: 177 (05/30/07 12:12 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Because even if they could be ready to air eppys by fall (which they can't; production doesn't even start till August!), the 16 eppys would be over around the New Year--and then you'd have to wait 8 months until NEXT fall, and a new batch of eppys! One way or another, we'd be stuck waiting for 2/3 of a year between seasons. This particular 8-month wait isn't any worse than any other 8-month wait. We have to live with this. I hate it as much as you. But there it is.

Any hiatus is too long for a serialized shows and there aren't many solutions. This is the compromise the producers/ABC came up with so we don't have to put up with repeats. It's like the 24 method only with a shorter season--much better for Lost as they've proven that they can't do 20 good episodes. If Sopranos fans can wait, well, sometimes more than a year between seasons, I think 8 months is a trifle. NBC went another direction with Heroes by creating a spin-off that will air in April after Heroes has their 2nd season finale. That'll be interesting. All of the other new serialized shows...well, I believe they have all been canned.

My mother is going to start coming over on Wednesday nights. She's never sat down to watch LOST, but decided she was going to try to watch the finale last week. I told her I'd kill her if she did. I got my sister HOOKED right before the Season 2 premier. She thanks me all the time.

Was it ever explained how Pryce and Tom knew NOT to shoot Jin, Sayid, and Bernard? I was convinced that Tom was saying they should have shot them(and listened to Ben's order to kill them in one minute), and was upset that they shot bullets in the sand. But when I watched it again, I was wrong. Tom wanted to kill the three hostages. But he stated that Ben was off his rocker, and they shouldn't be listening to him, while Pryce said "It was an order". Did we miss the order that Ben wanted them to fake the murders when he told them he wanted them murdered? Anyone follow that?

When the shots rang out I was expecting Sayid, Bernard & Jin to be dead. But now that I think about it, I seem to recall Ben telling them earlier that if he gave the order to shoot anyone to not really do it. It was very confusing.

The premier was of course excellent along with the second hour of the pilot as well. I've seen it since the first time it premiered but I loved remembering when I thought Locke was creepy as hell, and wondering what the fuck was going on with the monster and the polar bear and the great reveal that Kate was the person in the handcuffs. That being said, Kate said she was awake during the entire crash, I would love to see a flashback in that perspective...or any of the others for that matter.
