I know this doesn't really have anything to do with LOST, but did anyone see the trailer to this before Transformers? Apparently this movie doesn't
have a title, or a cast list.. everything about it is top secret. Seems very LOST like to me..

Paramount keeps ordering the preview videos to be taken down from web sites, but here's one that might work if you get to it before Paramount.

Cloverfield was the working title, the name of the movie wasn't shown at the end of the trailer.

I don't understand why Paramount keeps pulling the videos? Don't they want people to know about this movie?

Probably a mix of having a deal with Dreamworks for Transformers and wanting to keep buzz high for wanting to see it at the beginning of a huge movie,
I swear... I noticed the words "Bad Robot" at the end... is that J.J. Abrams production company or is that meant to suggest a connection to Lost... hmm I don't know. |

"Matt Reeves will direct and Drew Goddard will pen the J.J. Abrams produced camcorder-shot monster movie "Cloverfield" for Paramount reports AICN. That site first broke news on the top-secret project which comes upon the idea of a giant monster movie (the creature in this case being called 'The Parasite'), but have it all shot with home video cameras by random people to give it a very gritty and realistic feel. Reeves directed "The Pallbearer" and TV shows like "Miracles," "Homicide," "Felicity" and "Relativity". The teaser trailer for the as yet untitled film ("Cloverfield" is a working title only) can be seen in front of "Transformers" opening tomorrow, and the film itself will hit theaters January 18th" -darkhorizons |

There are lots of theories in the buzz I've read so far. The two best ones are:
- it's a Cthulhu movie. The visuals loosely jive with Cthulhu mythology and the ethanhaas sites supposedly have cthlues suggesting it. - there's no movie at all and it's the start of a new viral marketing campaign for Lost. The studio claims the movie hasn't even been shot yet, and people say the monster sounds like Smokey. 1-18-08 is roughly when S4 will be starting. Leave it to JJA to come up with this idea; not whatever the movie is actually about, but the way it's being promoted, all secretly, with tie-in games and bans on youtube copies. The nerd hype for this will at least rival SoaP. I may go see Transformers tomorrow just to see this trailer, since I can't find any proper copies. |

I would die if it was a LOST movie! But I don't think it is.. apparently shooting of the film only started last month, so they must've got all the CGI done in only a couple of weeks, for the trailer. I don't know, it seems fishy...

I played the games and finished all 5. You get a password at the end that I guess will be used on august 1st. This whole thing is pretty interesting.

Ok I got on another computer and played through all of the games, very interesting. I admit I did cheat and looked at a walkthrough, there's no way I could've figured that shit out by myself...
