But what do I know? I also thought the Numbers actually meant something.

I seriously don't think she could make a commitment to "V" if she was going to be under contract for Season 6. Plus, they sure played up the
final scene with her and Sawyer to make it seem final.

Since Charlie's departure, death hasn't phased me on this show until I read that one of the cast members went to work for a high level politician whose views and policies completely contradict those of ABC. What's that about? After Charlie died, the reaction from the characters was pathetic (looking at you Claire). Hopefully her death has meaning. I've felt like that about almost all the deaths on this show. So often it's "Here's the funeral, people are sad...Okay moving on forget about it." |

More info on V:
Twenty-five years after it made a splash on television, "V" is coming back to primetime. I guess if "V" is only doing 13 episodes and filming in the early part of the season, Elizabeth Mitchell could conceivably do both. LOST is a show where you can disappear for episodes at a time, so it's possible they could work around it... |

Hey Deb!!
The point I was trying to make is Juliet's death was filmed in a way to make it seem very final. She had to have been fucked up by that fall, then she beat a bomb to make it blow up, come on.. I also agree with Pappy that her scenes with Sawyer made it tragically final. After those agonizing moments between Sawyer and Juliet, to have him find her alive next season would be an eyeroll. "Oh son of a bitch, Blondie.. you still kickin'!" I always liked Juliet and did not want her to die. Just sayin' I think she's gone. |

But it might not have been an explosion. It could have been a flash forward at that instant. Or it could have been an implosion like when Desmond turned the
failsafe key. He didn't die but wound up wandering around the jungle naked. No one remembered the implosion. They all just went about doing what they
had been doing before "the sky went pink".
We could very well come back to Juliet wandering around the jungle naked. |

*sigh*
Again.. what Cindi said. It could have been a flash forward at that instant. And AGAIN to quote Cindi, if that was a flash instead of an explosion then she'd be buried in that big crater where the Swan used to be. I'm assuming they do flash to the present. At least I hope they do. The writers have said time travel is over. (fwiw which could be worth nothing) I think that's how Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Miles and Hurley survive - by a final flash (one can hope) to present. I do NOT want Juliet to be dead. I love Elizabeth Mitchell. I was the first to bitch that I didn't want another female character killed off leaving just Kate and Sun. There's still Ilana but who the hell is she? And we don't know when Claire will appear again. Anyway if Juliet lives through all that, there better be some damn good writing.

Juliet could come back as Smokey-Juliet, Jacob-Juliet, Anti-Jacob Juliet, Miles talking to Juliet (hokey), Time-Traveling Juliet, Real World Juliet (she never came to the Island), The Others Juliet (they changed things so she never left the Others), Magically-Healed-and-Transported-to-a-Safe-Location Juliet, Juliet's Never-Before-Mentioned-Twin Bambi, etc. |

Ausiello just Tweeted that ABC will make the official announcement that they are picking up "V" tomorrow and that Elizabeth Mitchell will NOT be a
season regular next season, but will appear in an "unspecified amount" of episode next season.

Even with "V" being a virtual lock for next season expect Juliet to appear in an unspecified number of episodes. So it looks like she won't
remain DOA. LINK
CoconutPhone posted this on Juliet's thread. smh... |

Steve MacPherson (head of ABC) said in the press conference that he is very grateful to the producers of Lost for letting EM film the V pilot, but that he
"thinks you will see her on Lost."
