I've been hearing the Celine/Elvis rumor crap on the radio. At first I thought it was a joke. But they seem to be rather serious about it.
Come on! That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Madonna/Bono would friggin' ROCK! Of course, these days I'd much rather hear a duet with Gwen Stefani/Rob Thomas. |

Celine/Elvis makes sense because she taped her performance on April 16th from the AI set. Plenty of time of fancy editing.
Not to mention that she brought an Elvis impersonator with her from Vegas to stand in for him. Anything shown on the Idol set will be taped, I'm pretty sure, except for the elimination stuff. Everything at the Disney Hall is live, though. People actually had to pay for those tickets. I how this is all lovey dovey, let's help the poor people...oh, and y the way.... This week is turning out to be a monumental shit stain in a season of shit stains!
I almost want to boycott the rest of the season, but goddammit they've got my hooked! Why couldn't they have this shitty Idol Gives Head special earlier in the season. Walking away would have been so much easier. |

Okay, using an Elvis impersonator is beyond ridiculous.
Why can't they just have Celine on stage alone doing the duet with Elvis's voice only? It's going to look SO STUPID having a fucking impersonator acting as if HE'S singing the song. ^^^ I only even have one of Madonna's CDs, and haven't ever mentioned her on Sucks before this, so try again, I'm not a "street team member". I just hate how people are suddenly thinking that Carrie is the biggest thing everrrr just because of "Some Hearts". I've gotta keep it real.

Oh GEEEEZZZZZ, I caved and watched the show!!!
AND...I actually ended up enjoying the Celine/Elvis duet, although I think it would have been more awesome with Elvis singing the whole song. The impersonator was pretty good and had Elvis's body movements down pat. The show ended up not being as cheesy, ridiculous, and over the top as I had initially thought it might be. It moved along quite well and the "funny" segments weren't too bad either. Considering the non-elimination thing had already been leaked on various places on the internet, wasn't very "shocking." Even if it hadn't been leaked, the build-up to the "shocking" thing was lame as usual. Ryan gets so excited about "shockers." |
