They brought Elvis back from the dead for this performance, and, from the look on his face, he did not want to be there. And he sung horribly too. Maybe next year Celine will dig up James Brown or is it too soon?

Trying to sing with a dead person. Isn't there a word for this. It's as creepy as necrophilia.

Celine singing with a Dead Elvis was bizarre beyond belief. It was if she was in a program on the holodeck of the USS Enterprise.

Elivs ruled and they should have just let him sing it alone. Who does she think she is trying to sing with the King. Know your role honey and let the King shine alone, don't ride along on his cape.

I was under the impression that you could see Elvis Aaron Hologram perform on any given night in Vegas. I remeber hearing ads for such a show on oldies stations a few years back. Is that still happening?
Anyway, I enjoyed this. Celine might not be most people's favourite, but with her vocal power and diva factor she is on a very short list of people who would not be completely obliterated by the stage-presence of even a computer-generated Elvis. |

I've never got the whole singing with a dead person thing. I think it's creepy.
More impressive to me would be having someone else on the level of Celine Dion who is actually alive sing a duet with her. |

I thought the Celine and Elvis performance was great. Not a fan of either, but still it was a cool performance.

I thought this was one of the few highlights in a rather lackluster evening. And the choice of song was perfect for the "songs of inspiration" theme. Elvis would close his shows with "If I Can Dream" in the latter years of his career.

I loved it, and I love him, and it was wonderful. I hope they find a real way to bring him back. There will never be anyone can fill his shoes.

It should have been fat Elvis. It would have made more sense to see a doped up Elvis performing with Celine since sober Elvis would have kicked her off stage.
I wonder how many hungry kids that completely unecessary and lame stunt could have fed... |

Quote: It's not in Vegas, it might have stopped there. It was, and is, a tour with most of his backup people that are still living. They showed it on PBS too. It's been all over the world. I thought Celine was actually singing with one of the top Elvis impersonators from Vegas there on the stage, and they put the hollogram over him eventually. |

Youre all forgeting that not just Celine, but the six finalists, performed with dead Elvis. Chris Richardson can now put this on his resume -- "was fat" and "nasally is a form of singing" and "sung backup for Elvis Presley"

I'm surprised at the duet love, especially here at Sucks.
I'm not particularly an Elvis fan, and definitely not a Celine fan, though I respect her voice, but I really found it unsettling. Some old video of a dead dude singing, her acting like he's right there, him oblivious to anyone being there, since there isn't, just cweepy. |
