I agree, Seaguy, those are my faves, too.

I've always thought the "Savage" album was underrated. I love "I Need A Man" and "I Love To Listen To Beethoven." The videos for those songs were crazy cool too--Annie was doing some kind of drag queen and hausfrau schtick in them.

Yes, yes, SAVAGE was underrated. Annie will always be one of the greats. It's so obvious that those who are criticizing her so badly are young. In her day she was one of the best.

Quote: YES!! :love That video was so great! She was a blond housewive who went off the deep end, and started to flip out while vacuuming. She was laughing like some maniac. Creepy nuts! Her videos were always incredible. And don't forget "Sexcrime"! I also love "Adrien" and "There must be an angel playing with my heart". OH and "Angel" and "The Miracle of Love". Fuck, I love them all! Annie <3 |

Fuck, I forgot about Sexcrime, seaguy! I actually bought an imported picture disc of that single. I wonder if I still have it somewhere in storage...

I found Annie's performance very moving. Yes, her voice cracked and strained, but she really felt the song.
I agree with seaguy's faves. Here Comes the Rain Again is my all time favorite, but let's not ignore what I think was their biggest hit, Sweet Dreams (are mad of this.) I have a long form video of Eurythmics with many of their early songs. It's odd, interesting and fantastic. br |

I have the extended version mp3 of "Sexcrime" I think. Lemme know if you need it, AMT!!
BR--I never appreciated "Sweet Dreams" until recently. It is really quite remarkable for its uniqueness---even today it stands alone. Glad to see other fans here! |

Gotcha. I wasn't meaning to sound bitchy, so hope I didn't come across that way. I always thought you were at least over 20. :) The word "OF" makes a difference!

^ No worries. I'm not hip to this music! Back in the 80s I was listening to Paula Abdul and booty rap!
