YES, and having volunteered at the Toronto Humane Society let me tell you - it's about time Tim Trow was arrested and hopefully things will actually
change.
One day I was there for my shift and I had a kitten, barely 3 weeks old that was gasping for air, couldn't eat or drink and was truly suffering. I took him down to the vets office at the THS and told the vet on staff that night (Rob) that the kitten needed to be euthanized. He told me to put it back in the cage. I begged him to look at the kitten. He did. He told me it was dying and to put it back in the cage. Reluctantly I did as I had 400 more SICK AND DYING kittens to feed. 2 hours later I went to check my little dying kitten and he was dead and cold. I took him back to Rob who LAUGHED and THREW (not placed) him in a black garbage bag FILLED with other dead kittens and other animals. It still haunts me.

What a mess. And using donations for their legal fees is pretty bad.

And here are a few other clues: the shelter has a history of letting puppies wash down drains; of hiring morons of the sort who let dogs bake to death in animal-control trucks; of hiring morons who stuff a bunch of fighting birds into a cage, where they suffocate to death; of keeping animals in un-air-conditioned rooms; of not vaccinating dogs who are adopted out and promptly die ugly, disgusting, painful deaths from distemper. In other words, it's a shelter with a history of animal cruelty.and they fired the only competant vet |

I don't get it. Aren't these people supposed to care about animals?
Exactly what is the point of an anti euthanasia policy if the animals are sick and suffering? |

They use their donations for anything but things they are supposed to. When you're feeding ONE year old expired food to the animals and having to BEG them for milk formula you know there is a problem.....

Tim Trow has been arrested along with 4 staff
members for animal cruelty. His dog "went after" a
cop when he was arrested and had to be pepper sprayed. Trow was supposedly rehabbing the dog for aggression but he actually made it worse by keeping it
locked up in his office.
They are also considering filing charges against the board of directors of the shelter (14 people.) |

I think things will get better for those animals. At least now maybe they will have a chance of getting proper care and medical attention. Of course some
will probably get have already been put to sleep, which is what almost always happens when hoarders keep
large numbers of neglected animals.

See tha tdog was supposed to have been put down a long time ago and he was going against the judge by keeping it alive.
