Was it mean to hire your cousin as a house helper? |

|
I have a cousin who was currently unemployed and so as her husband. I was thinking about hiring her as my maid and hiring her husband as a nanny for my dog and
as a garderner. I really need helpers in my house right now since I don't do chores and I have a tendency to be hoarder. I was thinking that relatives are
more trustworthy than strangers. But on the other hand, she might felt insulted about it, since no one in earth wants to work as a maid. The 2 of them were
both jobless and they just got evicted from their apartments.

welcome to the wonderful world of freeloading relatives if you make them an offer - odds are they'd be fine for a while, but then would gradually sink into
inertia

Do it. I polished silver and washed windows for my professors ... even though I had a stash in trust. |

These are very tough economic times, and what you are offering is not charity, per se, but an opportunity for them to earn some money and get back on their
feet.
Are you, by chance, a Filipino? Your "paragraph" contains a ridiculous number of errors, even for OT!! ESL?? |

I don't know if I'd offer something like that to a family member, but if they mentioned something to ME about doing something like that, I'd
absolutely take them up on it.

I would only hire a relative if they were mexican. Your cousin is a loser for a reason. |

i think it's fine but i'd drop the titles... like i wouldn't call them your maid and gardener, that would be pretty weird.

I could never hire a relative.
Firing them would be...problematic. |

I do not see anything wrong with you asking them. Any job as long as it is honest its ok to offer I think.

The great thing about this economy is all the new prostitutes. Supply goes up, cost goes down. You can get an around the world for $30.

You rejoice over "free laundry" in the "Would You Let Your Mother Wash Your Dirty Underwear" thread.
And here you are trying to tell us that you'll pay family members to clean for you. 1) You are no more than 17 years old and shouldn't even be here. 2) This is complete bullshit, every word. 3) Leave now. |
